[Resolved]  Kingfisher Airlines — NO REDEMPTION OF FLYING MILES

SUBJECT:The Most Horrendous Experience of My Entire Flying Life -FALSE ASSURANCES & FALSE CLAIMS-ONE WEEK OF MISERY‏ FROM KINGFISHER AIRLINES


I am a frequent flyer between Bangkok and Kolkata and use Kingfisher Airlines for my travel.My frequent flyer number is :[protected].
I had accumulated over 18000 miles and was entitled to a Bangkok to Kolkata from Kingfisher Airlines.Mail was sent and accordingly and received confirmation by email on 13th December that I could fly on the 23rd of December 2011.
Tickets were bought for my wife on the same airline who was also travelling with me.

I was sent a mail with a PNR number EQWMOJ and was asked to pay Rs3700 at the Bangkok office located at Glass Haus Building,Thailand.
We live 250 kms away from Bangkok in a town called Rayong.
Kingfisher had given us a deadline set for Tuesday that the money in the form of Airport Tax was to be paid at the Bangkok office.
My wife drove 250kms from Rayong to Bangkok and went to the office to pay the amount.She was rudely turned away with no assistance saying they do not entertain such collection of frequent flyer redemption tax and my wife-a Thai national-was asked to leave the office rudely.

I mailed back to King Club about it asking them what we were to do;on Thursday which was the day before my flight on the 22nd of December i received a call on my Bangkok number-+[protected] saying that i could go to the airport prior to the flight and pay the tax at Suvarnabhumi airport,Bangkok.My wife and I appeared at the counter of Kingfisher giving them copy of my letter and booking confirmation and readiness to pay the money as told by King Club.

This is where it gets more interesting and horrifying.To our absolute shock we were told they do not issue or accept any bookings done through frequent flyer programme.The frequent flyer ofice was contacted who feigned absolute ignorance and kept trying to stall the matter as i was kicked around from one so called patient listener on your call service line.Time was 2.45 and boarding was about to close.I had to purchase new ticket to my absolute horror as i had to board the flight which was due to depart in 1 hour and 30 minutes. The counter made me pay Thai Baht 6375 to issue a new ticket.New PNR paid for is :BTLZKY.

My wife after one week of abosloute harassment finally boarded the flight to Kolkata and reached our intended destination.

Mr Mallaya,you claim the finest service. Is this your service. You claim the most rewarding airline.Was this my reward for freqently flying your airline.
A Thai lady driving 250kms up and down being insulted at Bangkok office on Monday??

Waiting desperately to board a flight for 2 and half hours not knowing whether we would fly or have to head back 250kms back to Rayong as my wife refused to travel without me.
GIve me one reason why i should ask anyone to ever board Kingfisher.

I will be in India from 23rd to the 4th of January and I NEED SOME ANSWERS FROM THE MAN BEHIND INDIA"S FINEST AND MOST REWARDED AIRLINE.

Kingfisher Airlines — Flights from Kolkata to Bangkok and back

I travelled by Kingfisher Airlines from Kolkata to Bangkok on 23 February and back on 28 February 2010. On both occasions my advance request for a lactose free meal was not honoured. I am still to get a response to my written complaints made on both occasions.

Kingfisher Airlines has deteriorated greatly. Its staff do not even know what is a lactose-free meal. Also the Chairman promises a state of the art audio system on its flights. There was none on these two flights.

I expect an unqualified apology and a stop to all the hype and unjustified praise that the chairman and his airline heap upon themselves.

If they fail to respond to this letter and to my complaints, I will never fly with them again and would avise others also not to do so.
