NEW DELHI: Continuing their agenda of demolishing "holy cows" in politics and corporate world, India Against Corruption (IAC) activist Arvind Kejriwal is addressing another press conference. This time his expose is on the black money in Swiss banks.

Kejriwal gave details of Swiss bank account holders. The IAC activist said the government had details of 700 Swiss bank account holders in the HSBC Bank in Geneva.

"We got a CD - HSBC's Geneva branch has 700 accounts of Indian nationals. That list is available with the government with the amounts in the accounts in December 2006, " Kejriwal said. He claimed the government was involved in the cover-up.

Mukesh and Anil Ambani, Naresh Goyal along with other leading industrialists in the Dabur and Birla group were some of the account holders, he said.

Anu Tandon and Sandeep Tandon - former IRS, ED official - who raided Reliance has 125 crores were other names Kejriwal discloses.

"In July 2011, Indian Government received a list of roughly 700 people having bank accounts in HSBC, Geneva. The list contains bank balances of these people in 2006, " Kejriwal said.

Kejriwal said they could not access all the names but the following names appeared in that list:

Mukesh Dhirubhai Ambai - Rs 100 crores
Anil Dhirubhai Ambani - Rs 100 crores
Motech Software Private Ltd (Reliance Group company) - Rs 2, 100 crores
Reliance Industries Ltd - Rs 500 crores
Sandeep Tandon - Rs 125 crores
Anu Tandon - Rs 125 crores
Kokila Dhirubhai Ambani - She has an account but there was no balance on that date
Naresh Kumar Goyal - Rs 80 crores
Burmans (3 family members) - Rs 25 crores
Yashovardhan Birla - no balance

Arvind Kejriwal said the CBI had said there was Rs 25 lakh crore black money in Swiss banks. These 700 names account for only Rs 6000 crore, he said.

Kejriwal also accused HSBC Bank of helping route illgotten money.

The expose-press conference — that has now become an almost weekly affair — has already served judgment on two political figures, Robert Vadra and Nitin Gadkari, and a corporate czar, Mukesh Ambani.

IAC headed by activists Arvind Kejriwal and Prashant Bhushan has created a profile for the till now unnamed political party on the perception that leading ruling parties Congress and BJP are corrupt and hand-in-glove with big business.

While speculation was rife on Thursday night on the probable targets, IAC members were tight-lipped learning from the Gadkari fiasco that gave the main Opposition a few days' time to prepare their case against the allegations of corruption raised against them
he he he. It appears that its a new stunt to override google search algorithm. this trick will not work.
What an idea sirji. Shanti is trying to deviate the topic with the help of spammers. He recently gave his website to SEO service provider and asked him to remove the customercomplaints link from Google search. I guess this is part of their job and posted these spam comments.. However, this doesn’t work. Still the link is appearing on the first page.
The Bharatiya Janata Party [ Images ] on Monday sought to corner the government over the controversial statement by Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik [ Images ] equating the Babri Masjid [ Images ] demolition with Mumbai terror attacks [ Images ], as it demanded to know in Rajya Sabha as to why India [ Images ] did not respond strongly.

Raising the issue during Zero Hour, Deputy Leader of BJP Ravishankar Prasad asked why the government "failed" to tell Malik that the Allahabad high court has already given its verdict and those claiming it to be a mosque have been unable to prove it.

This triggered an angry reaction from Sabir Ali, a member of BJP ally Janata Dal-United, who trooped into the Well.

Malik, during his visit to New Delhi [ Images ], had said nobody wants to see the recurrence of incidents like Mumbai blasts, Samjhauta blasts or Babri Masjid issue. Later, however, he denied comparing the demolition of the shrine to the Mumbai attacks, adding that he had been "misunderstood".

"What Rehman Malik said was unwarranted, unprovoked. We strongly condemn it. I want to ask the home minister why Malik was allowed to come if his visit to India was with an agenda. Why the government did not respond to all this strongly? The home minister should reply, " Prasad said in presence of Shinde.

Prasad also took objection to Malik's remarks dismissing India's evidence against Saeed in 26/11 attacks and that the Lashkar-e-Tayiba [ Images ] terrorist Abu Jundal was an operative of an elite Indian intelligence agency.

Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Rajiv Shukla said the minister will make a statement on the issue.
Dr Singh is confident that his government will push ahead its reforms agenda.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh [ Images ] accepts that his government is vulnerable, but it appears he has taken in his stride the uncertainties of the withdrawal of support by United Progressive Alliance [ Images ] partners and the misery of running a coalition government.

While the prime minister did not fudge the direct question if there are fears that Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav [ Images ] may want to withdraw his party’s support from the outside to the UPA later this year, Dr Singh demonstrated a combative attitude about going forth with economic reforms.

During the media interaction aboard the Boeing 747 ferrying the prime minister and his delegation from South Africa [ Images ], Dr Singh was asked, “One of your biggest allies, the DMK (Dravida Munetra Kazhagam) is not part of your government anymore. Your government is much more dependent on Mulayam Singh Yadav and (Bahujan Samaj Party chief) Mayawati [ Images ]. Do you think your government is much more vulnerable today? There are fears that Mulayam Singh Yadav may want to withdraw support later this year.”

The prime minister was candid. “Obviously, coalitions face issues. Sometimes, they give the impression that these arrangements are not very stable arrangements and I cannot deny that those possibilities exist. But I am confident that our government will complete its full five years, that the election to the next Lok Sabha will take place on schedule.”

“Your party and the government have been saying that the government is stable and will last its full term, " another journalist asked. "Does the government still have the political will to sustain reforms you had started a year back?”

In response, Dr Singh was in his element. “It is not a once for all set-up that we are seeking by way of reforms. Reforms certainly have to take into account the fact that we don’t have the majority to get Parliament to approve some of our reform proposals. So we are certainly dependent on the goodwill of our allies and I would be the last one to deny that there are uncertainties."

"But even then, we are confident that the reforms that matter, and which are going to yield results in the next few months, we will be able to push them.”

When asked, “Given the fact that ally after ally are leaving the UPA, do you think the Congress party and your leadership have lost the ability to hold allies together, ” Dr Singh replied, “I don’t share that view. I think that alliances do have compulsions which have to be taken into account. We will not allow these compulsions to derail the reform process or to create a situation where the essential task of governing this vast country of ours can be put aside.”
The All India [ Images ] Democratic Women's Association, a wing of the Communist Party of India-Marxist, was one of the first organisations to take up the case of the Suryanelli gang-rape victim in 1996.

Seventeen years on, as the case continues to create shockwaves across the nation, K K Shailaja, the general secretary of the AIDWA, in an exclusive interview with rediff.com’s Shobha Warrier, talks about the plight of the victim and the alleged involvement of Rajya Sabha deputy chairman P J Kurien who was issued a notice by a Kerala [ Images ] court in the matter on Wednesday.

How did the AIDWA get involved in the Suryanelli case?

The victim, who is now known as the Suryanelli girl, disappeared on January 16, 1996. On January 17, her father registered an FIR at the police station, saying that his daughter was missing. When this appeared in the newspapers, we got in touch with the Idukki unit of the AIDWA and asked them to find out more details. That was how we got involved in the case.

Was the father of the victim in any way associated with the CPM then?

No, he had no connection with the party. He was a poor, lower middle class man with a minor job. We, at the AIDWA, decided to get involved because it was the case of a missing girl. When we learn about any injustice meted out to women, we try to help them and we don't look at party affiliation.

Were you personally involved in the case then?

At that time I was only a state member. It was a collective decision of the association.

Though the father filed a complaint the very next day after the girl went missing, the police did not do anything for 42 days. She was taken to many guesthouses and hotels in the state, yet the police could not trace her. When she appeared after 40 days, it was not the police who found her. She was left on the way to her house by those who took her. She was in a very bad condition then. So, we were quite unhappy with the way the police handled the case.

The 2005 high court verdict, which was stayed by the Supreme Court this year, accused the victim of not trying to escape from the clutches of the people when she was taken to different places. When AIDWA met the girl, did you ask her why she didn't try to escape?

Yes, we did ask her. In fact, after the high court verdict specifically spoke about her not trying to escape, I asked her, 'Why did you not try to escape from them in those 42 days?'

She told me, “Aunty, they always moved me from one place to another in closed vehicles and even if I howled, nobody would have heard me.”

She also told me that there were many people guarding the doors of the guesthouses when men raped her. She ran out of a second-floor room from one of the guesthouses and as she went down the steps, a man caught hold of her hair and slapped her hard. She fell unconscious.

She was always under full control of the people who abused her. They were cruel to her, threatened to kill her.

That judgment also mentioned her visit to a doctor for a sore throat and the judges wondered why she didn't tell the doctor about her condition…
same thing i agreed what the early comments was posted. Mr.Shanthi narayana is unfit for the CEO. He is just like a watchdog.

Guys i strogly recommending those who are going to join in this company should produce all the originals along with two years of bond. For freshers they treated like bonded labour
