[Resolved] Lic Of India — Refund of Deposit | |||
Ref: B.O.C. Number 12870, 12864 dtd 16th Mar 2009 amt Rs. 6000/- each I am registering this complaint on behalf of my brother-in-laws Mr Anil and Mr Sunil Satyen who are deaf and dumb and a Retina pigmentos patient (partially blind). The complaint is as follows: One of the LIC agent (agent code: 01679929, Dev Officer Code: 0000000) approached us for the LIC policy . All the requisite documents along with the deposit fees of Rs. 12000/- was submitted to LIC through the agent’s representative on 16th Mar 2009. However, LIC did not accept our request and the same were rejected stating that the applicant are not fulfilling the conditions mentioned in the LIC policy. The agent handed over the acknowledgement photocopy of the cheque deposited to LIC and stated that the money will be refunded and the cheque will be delivered to our home mailing address. We continuously followed up with the LIC agent stating that the money have not yet been received by us and one fine day, we got the information that the amount has been refunded and sent to our mailing address. We requested the agent to provide us with the proof of delivery and the agent could not produce the proof of delivery details. We had sent a letter along with the photocopy of acknowledgements to LIC branch. However, not received a single response till date.
