We have a shop in Pune which we've had for the last 20 years. Just today, the MSEB officer came and said we've been using a residential meter and we have to pay the difference, interest and fine and they are filing a case against us.
The point is, the meter is the original one as provided by the builder and the the Mseb connection is still on the builder's name. The mseb officer remarked that they fit a meter as per the documents we submitted, but obviously, we submitted documents of the shop only. Anyway, the meter is the original one which the mseb officials had fitted and if they fit the wrong meter and didn't realise their mistake for so many years, why should we be penalised ?
We thought we could tell them that since the meter is on the builder's nme, they should deal directly with him, but they will just cut our electricity supply in the process.
This is probably just another one of their bribery attempts I guess..shame on them Was this information helpful? |
