Sir,
I would like to draw your attention towards a problem which I have suddenly come across regarding my Car – Maruti Omni (8 Seaters) WB025X 3341. It’s date of purchase is 16th Feb’2007 from Deewar’s Garage – Kolkata.
My car is presently under the extended warranty period. Offlate a defect has been diagnosed that the rear wheel on the driver’s side fixed with the body shell has got rusted and detached. We send our car for repair to “Mohan Motors” (Code 0606) – Kolkata on 10th Nov’09. One Mr. Kamlesh Singh of Mohan Motors made whopping estimate of Rs/ 1 Lakh 49 thousand for the repaid. According to him that particular spare put is not available hence the entire body of the car needs to be changed.
The cost of the car (showroom price) is 2 lakhs 70 thousand and I am directed to cough out 1 lakh 49 thousand for a defect which is more than 50% of its cost price.
I have two little kids for whom this car was used to drop them school. I stay alone with them and I am finding it a real trouble.
Is there any way that you can help me like managing the particulars parts from some source and directing “Mohan Motors” – Kolkata to repair the defect at a subsidized rate.
I have lost my peace of mind after this event. I have made numerous calls to Regional Office – Kolkata, Customer Care – Delhi but to no avail.
With no other choice left I am banking upon your intervention in this matter as the last resort to bail me out of this situation.
