Dear Sir/Madam
With due respect i want to inform you that i purchased a policy of MetLife India Insurance Co Ltd from Kurukshetra.
My policy no was 00778942. I had paid an amount of Rs. 36000 P.A.
I applied it in jan 2009 but i didn't get my policy documents after passing 3 months.
Then i contact the concerned Axis Bank Branch and i gave 3 to 4 written request letters to the concerned branch staff (As there was a Tie-Up in MetLife and Axis Bank) but nothing happend.
All the acknowledments of non receiving of policy documents are already provided to MetLife India Insurance Co Ltd.
On the basis of those, i received my policy documents on 10th march 2011. when i read the terms and condition of the policy i found that the given plan was totally changed to which i applied.
Thats why i send my policy documents back for cancellation on 14th march 2011 to MetLife at bangalore which was received on 14th march 2011. for freelook cancellation as there is a 15 days cancellation period from company side after receiving the policy documents.
Now company is denying for refund of my amount by giving variable excuses.
Firstly, company says that my policy can't be cancelled as freelook period has been gone but now company is saying that policy can't be cancelled as they didn't get any acknowledment of written request of non receiving of policy documents.
there is no MetLife office in kurukshetra and i always gave my request letter to that branch from where i bought my policy.
now company don;t want to refund my amount.
I request you to plz help me in getting my amount back as i don't want to continue my policy, specially with MetLife as there is so much harrarsment in this company.
plz do the needful for me...
