Hello, I am Miss Young. I received this story from a friend. Let me call her Lisa. Go to the homepage to see more stories.
Dear Miss Young
I am writing because I am a recent victim of the Coca-Cola scam and I saw a case in your website similar to mine. Here is my story.
I received emails this week from individuals who claimed to be affiliated with The Coca-Cola Company, United Kingdom informing me as a winner of GBP1, 000, 000.00. All was well at the start. My email address was among the 20 who emerged as winner and since I signed for icoke.ca in the internet I thought there is a chance for me to win. I got so excited thinking of how the money can change my life and that of my family until I was asked to pay for the courier. At first I agreed but then as I meditated over the situation I got suspicious so I called a friend and told her of the emails. She advised me to confirm the matter first before releasing any money for the courier. I called Coca-Cola Toronto and asked about the promotion. An employee from the company informed me it's a scam. I searched through the intermet about Coca-Cola United Kingdom and I found out that their company's address is different from the address these scammers used. To convince myself I called Coca-Cola United Kingdom to inquire about the promotion and they confirmed it's a scam. Totally convinced I wrote these scammers that I wouldn't spend any cent in order to get my winnings and if they can give away such a big amount it's not a big deal if they will handle the cost. I wrote them that the only time I will believe it's true is when the document will reach in my possession without my spending any cent. As of this writing these scammers are still trying to convince me by sending a "winning international certificate". I replied to them holding my stand not to spend any cent and that they should send my "winning" at their own expense. They did not answer. I thank God for saving me from these scammers at the very last moment. God has guided me to call the right person who gave me just the right advise.
I will forward to this address all the documents I received from these scammers. I hope The Coca-Cola Company United Kingdom will do everything to stop these scammers from using their name. I can hardly believe these criminals have the guts to use the name of a very established, well respected company like coke. My family is one of the consumers of Coca-Cola products and I don't wish other people who patronize them to become victims of these criminals.
It's nice to know there are people like you, Miss Young, who uses websites like this one whose desire is to educate unsuspecting internet users like me against these criminals. Thank you for your time in reading my story.
God bless you.
Very truly yours,
Lisa
