This is a modus operandi of International & Indian cheaters & fraudlent persons to take away the money from the middleclass peoples ( mostly asians) by way of luring them in the greed of winning big amount in so-called Mobile/E-Mail Lotteris named in the world famouus companies. They ask you to give you the name & address, mobile no.( which has won the said amount) etc.and claim the prize. Then they tell you to opt for option 1) Bank Transfer by wire 2) Delivery of prize in package through Diplomatic Mission. If you opt for Bank transfer by wire, they ask you to open an account in foreign based branch ( as if they can't transfer in your account in Indian Bank), for which you are asked to send the money through moneygram etc of GBP/US Dollar of certain amount ( which you can forget thereafter). On opting for option 2) Delivery of prize in package through Diplomatic Mission, they e-mail you that so & so called Diplomatic Agent is leaving America/U.K. and arriving in your country on so & so date with your prize money in cash bundled in a boxed parcel. ( the name of administrator of award is mostly DR Brown, DR Robert, Dr Michael etc). On arrival in your country, the said Agent will contact you nad further guide you in claiming the said prize. Simultaneously you get a E-mail/telephone message that for clearing the said parcel of Box you are required to pay a certain amount as custom clearance fee of certain thousand of Rupees in a particular account in ICICI Bank. ( I do know the custom clearance fee at airport is deposited in SBI and not ICICI). If you pay that, they will ask you to pay some more amount on some pretext of Govt. Rule etc. But you will never get the said prize as it is not in existence. So please beware of all those fake/fraud E-Mail/SMSs by anybody.
