I want to share a very good and a memorable experience with Modern Automobiles, Chandigarh with you people. I want to tell that neither I or my relatives and friends will ever think to buy a car of Maruti Company.

My friend booked Swift Car VXI on 17 July, 2010. It was booked in the name of Mrs Urmila Devi. The persons of Modern Automobiles, Chandigarh assured him that car will be delivered in 3 months. He booked Swift car of color black. Same day they decided to change the color. They opted Azure Grey, after 8 months of waiting the car was not delivered. There was no update from Modern Automobiles, Chandigarh side. My friend has to call the Modern Automobiles, Chandigarh to get the update. On Feb 2, 2012 my friend received a call from Surinder Kaur dhiman, saying that Azure Grey color has been stopped by the company. They have a swift car of color silky silver ready with them. I was planning to buy Swift Dezire car for myself. My friend, along with his family and me went to Modern Automobiles, Chandigarh to get the delivery of his car. I took the booking amount with me to book Swift Dezire. On reaching the Modern Automobiles, Chandigarh, we narrated the story of not being updated to the sales manager (name not known). He was least interested to listen us. He asked a guy to get the file. On seeing the file, he said that the executive who booked the car is not working with us and nobody told me about this file. It is just mis-management. He told us that Azure Grey color is stopped by the company and there is another grey color launched by the company which is slightly different from Azure Grey. He said if we want to buy car of new grey color then we will have to wait for another X months. Here X can be anything. It can be 4 months or anything in years. We were making our mind to get our booking cancelled. He simply said to go ahead with the decision of canceling. He realized us that they are not bothered that a booking is being cancelled and a customer is going away. They just think that they are getting their salary on time whether the company (Modern Automobiles, Chandigarh / Maruti) is getting customer or not.

As we were in mood to get the delivery of the car, we agreed to buy Silky Silver car as he waited so long and craze to get a car was vanished. Till that time we were not served any water/tea/coffee. We pleaded to Surinder Kaur that if she can provide us water. Then we were served with water. After that we were served coffee. We were having a sip of coffee in a joy, we were said to pay an amount of Rs 5, 79,088 instead off Rs 4, 79,088. Our joy didn’t last long. There was a difference of 1 Lakh. May be they were charging 1 Lakh for serving coffee to us. We pointed out the difference. Some other sales executive also came. Then manager came named Harish. A very polite, with good behavior & kind hearted person. A person of that kind that I don’t want to see his face or hear his voice in my life. Harish told us there is lot of difference in between Azure Grey & New grey color, but senior manager told that there is little difference. We pointed out some discrepancies of company like mismanagement, wrong commitments & no regard for customers. He got angry that why we are pointing at these things. He was not ready to listen to us.

I am a Director & owner of a company. Being that, I always want to listen the discrepancies of my company so that I can make my services better. But Modern Automobiles, Chandigarh & its employees don’t want to listen to their faults. They think that they are better, customer is faulty. Harish realized us that we made a mistake by opting Modern Automobiles, Chandigarh to book a Maruti car. We made a mistake to book new model of Swift car without seeing it & we made mistake to choose color without seeing it. When we said to Harish that if the new model car was not available for display, why you started the booking of that car? Now you are objecting that we booked the car without seeing it then he said that we are just minting the money, we are just fooling people to book the car, people should think it before booking the car.Harish also objected that why we changed our mind to buy Azure Grey Swift Car instead of Black one. He started talking in aggressive manner. He said to us (in Indirect Way) to get out of the premises of Modern Automobiles, Chandigarh. According to Harish, customer is nothing it is just like a beggar for Modern Automobiles, Chandigarh.

We went out of the premises of Modern Automobiles, Chandigarh . We thought that we have been trapped in the cruel hands of Modern Automobiles, Chandigarh. So let us get the delivery of the said Swift Car Silky Silver. We started to count cash outside of Modern Automobiles, Chandigarh premises. Harish didn’t had any apology in his eyes & mind, because for him customer is a beggar. After counting the cash, we gave them & again we stood outside the premises of Modern Automobiles, Chandigarh. I think no customer has ever bought a Maruti Car like this(Standing outside of the premises of Modern Automobiles, Chandigarh) . When we were standing outside in anger, a sales executive named Mr. Ravi Kumar came to us and apologized. After having some words with Mr. Ravi Kumar, our mood got changed and our anger vanished. We just thought that why Mr. Ravi Kumar as is not in the place of Harish. If Mr. Ravi Kumar would be in the place of Harish then we didn’t had any heated argument. Mr. Ravi Kumar knows the value of a customer.

They (Harish, Surinder Kaur & Sales Manager) simply says that if a customer is going away, let him go. They hardly bother about customer. They don’t want that any customer should buy Maruti Car from Modern Automobiles, Chandigarh. Till the papers of the car were getting ready, we were standing outside the premises of Modern Automobiles, Chandigarh. We didn’t stepped inside the showroom of Modern Automobiles, Chandigarh. We got the delivery of our car & seeing the very nice behavior of Harish, Surinder Kaur & Sales Manager I dropped my idea to book Swift Dezire. So from now onwards I will urge my relatives, friends & people around me not to ever think to but a Maruti car. If they still want to buy a Maruti car then don’t go to Modern Automobiles, Chandigarh. Because they don’t need any customers.

So the tricity people think atleast 10 times before going to Modern Automobiles, Chandigarh.

Modern Automobiles — Reconnection

Ref: Account No. MD31-0027-X (Old No. ASP-154) Sub Divn G24 MARUTI

The electricity bill issued showed huge amount as arrears since 2006. However, the concerned staff who used to correct the bill was transferred and the new person refused to correct the bill. This resulted in our incapacity to pay the bill and disconnection of electricity. We met Mr Subhash Deswal, AGM, Maruti Sub Division, DHBVN, Sector 18, Gurgaon on 25.11.08 and 28.11.08 with a request to restore the connection, and also ensure correction in the future bills. He advised us to pay Rs.20000 before the connection could be restored, with an understanding that the same will be adjusted in our future bills based on average consumption. The amount of Rs.20000 was paid on 29.11.08. We have been making rounds of DHBVN office almost everyday for reconnection but there is no response from the staff. All formalities of verification of meter etc. were completed by them. The staff's attitude is absolutely indifferent. Our further meetings with Mr Deswal and our letters to him have also not borne any results.
We request the authorities to look into the matter and help.

MODERN AUTOMOBILES LTD — COMMITMENT RELATED

Sir,

I have purchased a vehicle in oct’05 and salesperson was committed a free centre looking at that time and some other accessories, other accessories they had provided me at that time only but centre looking is still pending till date I have not received my centre looking. So many times I had called up in the dealership and every time a new person talk to me and every time they said we are looking up the matter you have to wait for that I am fail to understand that how much time they need to look in the matter 3 years had already passed do I have to wait for another 2-3 years.

I want Maruti should look in to the matter I can’t wait anymore now I am so dissatisfied with the dealership behavior,

modern automobiles chandigarh — poor customer services

I HAD BOUGHT A MARUTI WAGONR VXI CAR ON 12 AUG 2010 FROM MODERN AUTOMOBILES CHANDIGARH. I HAD TO WAIT FOR MORE THAN TWO AND HALF HOURS FOR THE DELIVERY OF THE VEHICLE. THE STAFF AT THE SHOWROOM SHOWED NO COURTESY TO OFFER EVEN A GLASS OF WATER. I HAD TO GET THE WATER FOR MY KIDS FROM OUTSIDE. I WENT TO THE SERVICE BRANCH OF THE SAME AGENCY FOR THE FIRST SERVICE OF THE CAR ON 05 OCT 2010 AT 09.00 AM AND WAS ASSURED THE DELIVERY OF VEHICLE BETWEEN 2 TO 3 O"CLOAK BUT THE VEHICLE WAS DELIVERED AFTER 05.00 PM AND THE MATS UNDER REAR SEATS WERE NOT PLACED AT THEIR PROPER PLACES. THE CAR ALSO HAD TWO SMALL SCRATCHES WHICH SHOWS THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE STAFF AT THE SERVICE CENTRE. THE MATTER IS QUITE AN IMPORTANT AND NEEDS TO BE TAKEN CARE SO THAT THE BELIEVE IN THE MARUTI PRODUCTS DONOT FADE.
