[Resolved]  MTC — MTC Bus complaints

Address:Chennai, Tamil Nadu

I was travelling by 570 AC volvo N9461 today from Jain college Thoraipakkam to Chhettinad Health city boarded at around 2:15 pm . The charge of ticket was 45 Rs.
I gave driver 100 Rs and he returned me 5 Rs, telling me that he is not having change now. I waited and i saw him getting change from passengers coming in between, even then he didn't give me change.
There was one more passenger sitting beside me who also has to get 50 Rs from conductor. when my stop was near conductor gave the person beside me 100 Rs saying that we two share the money.
Now he was going to kelambakkam and i was going to Chhetinad. when i told the conductor then he got kind of angry that what shall i do i don't have change. I tried to make him understand but he was just so rude to listen anything.

1)He had change as i saw it in his bag.

2)If he was not having change he was suppose to arrange change from somewhere or in worst case should have asked me before boarding if i had the change or not to board.

I had no option then to lose my 50 Rs because i had to reach the hospital early and coming back from kelambakkam was not an option.

Most of these bus conductors are very rude since they confidently feel that passengers can do nothing to them in any case.

I would suggest MTC to put helpline number in each bus clearly visible so that in such situation a passenger can call and some solution could be done instantly.

MTC - Chennai — MTC - Chennai

I am the regular commuter of 23 C from Kilpauk. 23 C bus (Express) which is departured around 8.20-8.25 am from Ayanavaram Bus Terminus never stopped in most of the bus stops, that too even in the first three stops.

As it was not stopped at Kellys busstop, I started to wait in ESI Bus stop, which is the next stop from terminus, even there also it is not stopped. If we ask the conductor, he is very impolite and indecent in his speech. He goes to extreme stage if you want "you go complaint anywhere, you cannot do me anything".

If the bus will never be stopped it can be informed to the public that they will have to board the bus only at terminus.

Now-a-days it is a hell for those who are travelling in MTC buses especially 27D & 23C during the peak hours. The new design of the bus, which is not at all comfortable, is added pain to the passengers.

In view of the fact the large coverage area, connecting the important commercial points in city and used by large amount of public, number of services during peak can immediatley be increased.
