Hello Sir,
I have been facing issues with my insurance company.
My wife has a medic-claim policy of NEW INDIA INSURANCE COMPANY.
She underwent a surgery 2 months back and we have been fighting regarding the claims.
Company has deducted 20% of the amount under some zone clause which states that deduction will be made if the operation is being carried out in some other city.
We are from NAGPUR and the operation and treatment was done in MUMBAI.
We informed the company Orally and also through mail ,before getting admitted in the hospital at Mumbai.
But company did not mention anything about this zone structure.
also we have been holding policy of this company since more than 14-15 year , but we have never been informed about any such rule.
We have been trying to contact with company regarding this through mail and telephone but our problem is still unresolved.
please suggest us next step.
Is this deduction valid.
And who is responsible in this situation?
Because we have never been informed about this ever since.
