[Resolved]  Nokia — Demanding money for repair under warranty period

Hi, I am absolutely livid with Nokia.
I had gone to get the battery replaced in my Nokia Lumia 720 because it was bloated (after only 2 months o[censored]se), at the following nokia care center:

The bloated battery was pushing on my screen causing it to pop out a little bit and I could see a blue spot on the screen too. After the replacement, all these problems disappeared but the people at Nokia care also saw that there was a crack in the screen on the bottom left corner.

When I asked them to replace to screen too, they said it would cost me Rs.7000 as screen damage is not covered under warranty. I have read the warranty page on your website (http://www.nokia.com/in-en/support/manufacturer-s-limited-warranty/) and nowhere does it say that touch screen damage is not covered. Moreover, it is very obvious that the damage occurred due to the bloated battery pushing on the screen as the crack is on the inside.

I paid Rs.18000 for this phone and I am definitely not going to pay another 7000 to repair a screen that was damaged by a malfunctioning battery. They have not even assessed the damage and they want me to pay that much money?

The screen damage occurred because of the bloating of the battery and all Nokia is interested in doing is quoting their policies saying that physical damage does not fall under warranty without looking at how the damage happened.

I also called the customer care and they too spouted the same nonsense. The senior manager was unwilling to speak to me and service is horrendous.

Please help.

NOKIA N95 — THEY WANT MONEY FOR REPAIR EVEN IN WARRANTY PERIOD

MY NOKIA N 95 MUSIC PLAYER VOICE IS VERY LOW SO I WENT TO CUSTOMER CARE NOKIA GOLE MARKET DELHI FOR ADDRESS THE PROBLEM. TO MY FINDING I FOUND NOKIA PEOPLE BEHAVIUOR QUITE RIDICULEOUS TOWARDS CUSTOMER. THEY TREATING CUSTOMER LIKE AS COMING TO NOKIA IS A PUNISHMENT FOR CUSTOMER. LATER I SHOW MY PHONE. I PURCHACHED MY PHONE ON 18TH JULY 2007 FROM CP FROM A NOKIA SHOWROOM. SO MY PHONE IS IN WARRANTY PERIOD. HE CHECKED MY PHONE AND THEN HE TOLD ME THAT MY PHONE VOICE +- KEYS HAVE BEEN BROKEN THAT, S WHY PHONE VOICE IS NOT WORKING. I SAID OK THEN REPAIR THE PHONE. TO MY HORROR HE TOLD ME THAT I HAVE TO PAY INR 1400.00 FOR REPAIR FOR THE SAME. I ASK HIM MY PHONE IS IN WARRANTY AND IF SOMETHING BROKEN INSIDE THEN COMPANY HAVE TO REPLAR OR CHANGE THE SET BUT HE DID NOT LISTEN TO ME AT ALL AND ASE ME TO PAY OR LEAVE. Nokia — For repair in warranty period

Dear sir,
I have approached one of your service center at Hanamkonda (Mr.M.Prashanth, [protected]), Dist.Warangal (AP) to get certain repairs of my mobile under warranty. I purchased the mobile in the month of September, 2008. They informed me to pay for repairing charges of Rs.450/- for replacement of key pad. I asked the service centre authorities for give back the old key pad. They informed me that old part cannot be given back to the customer and that part belongs to company and also said that they will claim on the old replaced part which clears that the item eligible for repairs on Warranty. When claiming to Nokia company why should I pay Rs.450/- for replacement of key pad. Please inform me suitably whether I will pay the Rs.450/- to the conerned and got repaird. Further I will request you to kindly inform what are the warranty details.

My nokia set 7310c's key 7, 8, 9 and volume key was not working properly. i contact to Nokia Care they /admit my handset and i received a job sheet from care center. they told me that on Monday(20/7/2009) i will collect my set. but today(18/7/2009) i received a call from care center and knew that my set will sending to Delhi and the time period of this transit will 15 days. Sir, this is a very long period to repair a handset for Nokia Company.The job card no. is following for your kind notice-

NOKIA N95 — Re: Nokia - Vimal Kumar - N95 Phone Service Provision

I HAD A BLACK NOKIA N95 PHONE, I TRIED TO UPDATE ITS FIRMWARE ONLINE BUT THE PHONE GOT CORRUPTED. I FOLLOWED ALL THE PROCEDURE AS PER NOKIA INSTRUCTION BUT THE PHONE WAS NOT SWITCHING ON AND THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I WAS FACING THE SAME PROBLEM. ON THE FIRST TIME I GOT MY MOBILE AFTER 2 WEEKS BUT THIS TIME NOKIA CARE SAYS THAT THE PHONE IS IRREPARABLE AND THEY GAVE ME A REFURBISHED HANDSET. THE PHONES CONDITION WAS VERY WORSE AND IT LOOKED LIKE A REPAIRED PIECE AND MAINLY THE PHONE IS IN SILVER AND GOLDEN COLOR PANEL. I REQUESTED THEM TO GIVE ME A BLACK PANEL BUT IT NO VAIN. this is the latest jobsheet no.i submitted my mob on 19 march 2010.its 12 april today i didn't get my mob yet.
i've submitted 5 times my mob for display flickering problem before.problem repeating again & again.they are not repairing mobile.till now they've kept my mobile for 80 days overall approx.they're not doing replacement also.now 3 months warranty period is left.i'm in big problem & harashment because of this.i don't have other handset also.nokia care people don't respond properly..i don't know what to do now.
I have purchased Nokia 5130 mobile handset on 16th March 2010. In the month of July2010 I have feced the problem of non conectivity of handset with the PC so I shown it to the Nokia Care at Pune , they kept the handset for 10 days & returned it to me by saying that your problem was solved, but the same problem was there with the handset, I left that thing.
On 29th Sept.2010, the same handset has become totally dead , so I took it to Nokia Care & shown it to them , they inspected the same & told me that the handset was water damaged & it can't be cover under warrenty, & for that I have to pay the cost for repairing. I told them that the handset was never came close contact with the water but they were disagrring with me & forcefully telling me that the hand is water damaged only.
My request to you is that look in to this matter & give me Justice.

Nokia — warranty

Nokia is well known product, but two times my experience is bed I have,
they dont repair mobile in warranty period, asked to purchase new one.

I bought Nokia Lumia 610 in Aug 2012, till now in 6 moths I have been to Nokia Care centre for 3 times for my phone problems. Screen display problem, software problem, charging problem. Firstly they keep our phone with us for so many days to get it repaired that is also ok until they repair your phone properly. Now when I went again today for the charging problem they are giving me an excuse that there is moisture in your phone and you won’t get warranty.
You can only think there is no rain in Mumbai from time I bought till now, how can moisture go in. I have kept my phone in cover and care till date so that doesn’t make any chance of even a single drop of water going in. And if there is moisture it can also be because of them when they took my phone for repairing.
I bought the Handset considering Quality of Nokia but now would like to say that NOKIA lost its respect and goodwill. Because when you buy 13000 Rs. Phone any you need to go frequently to get your problems solved and now they say it has got moisture and we will take 2800 Rs. to get it solved.
I think, you can understand my dissatisfaction level so request you to please revert me on my problem.
