[Resolved] Nokia E71 — Button automatically activate without pressing | |||
Dear Sir, I wish to draw your attention to the kind of service and repair of mobiles by Nokia care. Unfortunately, people like me are taken for a ride at these nokia care centre. From the begining, I bought a Nokia E71 from Guwahati, Assam in on 23 July 2009. The set worked well for about 11 months and suddenly started giving problems. The camera came on automatically after every few seconds, automatic speaker ID came on prompting me to speak and then say "Match not found" i figured there was some problems with the buttons. I took the set to the newly opened/shifted Gurgaon Nokia care in Sector 14. Initially they were good to me and even offered to extend the warranty for about 1400, which I readily accepted, but soon refused the same saying that the set had water inside some white stuff on the keypad and warranty is void. I requested them to tell me what the white stuff was because this set has never left my hands and it is impossible that it get wet. They said the set needs a replacement of Keyboard, IC and Flex cable and the same would cost about Rs3000/- I was shocked and requested them to return my set. The set was assembled and handed over to me without closing the screws properly. When I mentioned the same, they could not locate the person who was responsible for the same, I sought the help the attendants to locate the person and finally get the screws fixed. I also asked them if the set was opened earlier. They said it was not. I fail to understand, when i have always been using a leather cover, how can even dust get into it. But giving a lame excuse that it must have been dipped in water is not possible. I wish to raise to nokia authorities that its a big scam that is going on in your service centres, these people are looters and want to just mint money. This will not be good for Nokia in long term. India has always been a country where the word of mouth has been more powerful that all the advertisements combined together. Hope Nokia India would take appropriate action and send some decoys to test the capabilities of their own workers if it is interested in controlling the scam.. Nokia E71 — ATTENTION NOKIA AUTHORITIES
Attention Nokia AuthoritiesI Purchased the Nokiae71 for Rs.16500/= serial no [protected] from 4 months back from Nokia priority dealer at the time of purchase i got the warranty of this product.
after two months i noticed that my phone has some spot like rust on the display i thought it may be moisture but again after some time i noticed that this spot is growing
bigger it seems that colour is contnously fading on this space.
i managed to check the phone on nokia service center rohini delhi Near m2k and they told me after inspection from the service enginner that they will change the body of the set as it is defective.but unfortunately
i were have not saved my data and i was asked to come on another day.
on the next day when after saving my data on my laptop i went again there but the customer care exective who assisted me last day was not present so i was attended by other
executive who refused me by saying that body panel is not covered under warranty.However she admitted that this is not liquid or phyical damage but refused me by saying the same
word that body is not covered under warranty.in this way i think was cheated when at the time of purchase they donot told me such.pls advice me what should i do should i go directly to consumer court directly or else.
