[Resolved] Nokia - Model 8800 — VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE | |||
I HAD PURCHASED A NOKIA 8800 MODEL, MORE THEN 3 YEARS AGO. AT PRICE OF RS 34,000.00. FOR LAST 3 MONTHS OR SO THE BATTERY WAS GIVING ME PROBLEM, SO I BOUGHT A NEW BATTERY FROM NOKIA CARE ( I STILL CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHY ARE YOU USING THE WORD "CARE") INFACT IT IS ANYTHING CLOSE TO "CARE". I HAD PAID RS 1600.00, FROM NOKIA WORKSHOP AND THEY SAID IT HAS A GURANTEE FOR A 6 MONTH. BUT STILL IT WASN'T OF ANY GOOD. SO I WENT BACK TO NOKIA CARE ( JOB SHEET NUMBER[protected] / 091009/21). IT WAS DATED[protected], THEY SAID THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE KEYPAD AND THEY SAID I SHOULD GET THE PHONE FIXED AT A PRICE OF RS 4500 ( REPAIR CHARGES), THE PHONE WOULD BE READY IN 3-4 DAYS. WELL I THINK ITS GOING TO BE MONTH NOW. YET I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY REPLY FROM THERE END. FINALLY I WENT DOWN TO THE NOKIAN CARE, AND THEY HANDED OVER ME THE SET WITHOUT RECTIFYING THE PROBLEM AND TO MY SUPRISE THE LCD SCREEN WAS CRACKED & BROKEN. WHEN I HAD QUESTIONED THE SAME THE MANAGER CAME OUT AND SAID THEY WILL FIX THE SET AND TAKE CARE OF THE LCD AND RETURN BACK TO ME WITHIN A DAY OR SO. I AM TIRED OF WAITING. WHEN I BOUGHT THE PHONE, I PAID THE FULL PAYMENT BEFORE BEING ALLOWED TO TAKE THE PHONE ALONG WITH ME. I WASN'T GIVEN AN OPTION OF MAKEING PARTIAL PAYMENTS, NOW WHEN THERE IS A PROBLEM I WENT TO "NOKIA NOCARE" AND THEY CAN'T RECTIFY MY PROBLEM THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE ATLEST BROKEN MY LCD SCREEN. SO PLEASE SUGGEST WHAT SHOULD I DO? SHOULD I FORGET ABOUT MY PHONE? IT WASN'T SOME CHEAP PHONE, THAT I CAN FORGET ABOUT THAT IT EASILY. SHOULD I JUST DONATE IT TO "NOKIA NOCARE" THEY CAN DO ALL THERE TESTS ON MY PHONE SET? SO PLEASE ADVISE.] THAT WAS THEN I FINALLY RECEIVED MY PHONE IN THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY 2010, YES THE SCREEN WAS FIXED, BUT MOMENT I STARTED USING THE BACK LIGHT ON THE SCREEN STARTED FLICKERING, HENCE I HAD TO GO BACK TO THE NOKIA CARE, AND THEY SAID WELL HAVE TO INFORM OUR HEAD OFFICE IN BANGALORE AND HOPEFULLY THEY WILL SEND A SCREEN OR WHAT NOT. ITS 1ST OF APRIL 2010 TODAY, YET NOTHING HAS GOT RECTIFIED, IF YOU REQUIRE THE SCAN COPY OF ALL THE JOB SHEETS AND THE BILLS PLEASE INFORM. I FAIL TO UNDERSTAND THAT WHY IT IS TAKING FOR PHONE TO BE FIXED FOR MORE THEN 6 MONTHS, SPECIALLY I GAVE THE PHONE TO NOKIA CARE TO FIX THE BATTERY CHARGING PROBLEM AND ONE OF THE KEYPADS WEREN'T PROPERLY. I NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEM WITH SCREEN. WHEN I HAD BOUGHT THE PHONE FROM THE NOKIA SHOP THEY ASKED ME TO MAKE THE PAYMENT IN FULL AND THEN ONLY THEY WOULD HANDOVER THE PHONE TO ME, IT WASN'T LIKE THEY HANDED ME THE PHONE OVER A SPAN OF 6 MONTHS OR THEY HAD ANY INSTALLMENT PLANS OR THEY DIDN'T HANDED ME THE KEYPAD FIRST AND THEN THE FULL SET. I WANT MY PHONE TO BE EXCHANGED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE OR REFUND ME BACK THE BILL AMOUNT OF RS 34,000 - RS 35,000. YES I HAD WRITTEN ONCE TO THE NOKIA CARE ON 8TH NOV 2010, I GOT A CONFUSING REPLY FROM A CERTAIN MR. PRASHANTH MM, ALL THE HELP HE COULD PROVIDE TO ME WAS " We regret the inconvenience caused. We request you to call our care line from the Nokia Care Centre in order for us to coordinate with the technicians." YES I HAD TRIED CALLING THE CUSTOMER CARE SEVERAL TIMES BUT I AM TRIED AND FED UP WITH THIS WHOLE ISSUE. PLEASE GIVE ME CLOSURE FROM THIS MATTER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. I AM SORRY FOR THE DAY I HAD PICKED NOKIA OVER THE BRANDS AT LEST I HAVE LEARNT MY LESSON FOR FUTURE. I AM TIRED OF RUNNING AROUND TO NOKIA STORE, I AM JUST BEING HARASSED. SO PLEASE HELP.
