Nokia N85 — NOKIA N85 - horrible mobile

I bought NOKIA N85 on Oct 2008. Following are the issues haunting me from last 1.5 years.

Problems:
1. The software was really bad(v10.00...).
2. Display problems - hangs and slow refreshing rate. Updates in one frame per 3 seconds.
3. Mobile cannot be used as Handsfree as audibility is very poor.
4. FM station reception is horrible.
5. Mobile resets by itself with out any intervention.

Due to above problems, updated the software to v 30.xx. Then started the real problems.
1. Handset gets heated up in standby mode(body heats up).
2. Battery get discharges in one day. Earlier to v30.xx mobile had good back in "power save" mode. Now it gets swicted OFF in 5 minutes.

I was thinking to approach "NOKIA customer care" at Koramangala, Bangalore. By seeing customer complaints and beautiful response from customer care and NOKIA company, the idea is dropped. I don't want to waste my time for no output.

Questions to NOKIA:
1. How can company Quality, Software, Hardware departments agree to release such a horrible mobile set in to market?
2. Did NOKIA understand business "ethics"?
3. Why NOKIA does not understand that they are wasting people's money, precious time and playing with health of people?
4. How was the quality maintained of mobiles released prior to 2008, why not later?

NOKIA mobile 2000 INR, works properly compared to N and E series.
Not worthy mobile for the money paid.

Nokia N85 — software problem

i have purchesed n85 in march 2009 the set was working slow, i visited at customer care centre mandi (hp) they formeted the set in july 2009 and again on7/08/2009 they were unable to load full software, it was told by the care centre that the new version is not available so that the installed software without engage software, i am also a dealer of nokia phone, & also press reporter of dainik bhaskar, the care center is 90 k.m from my town so that i am not able to visit again and again, kindly tell me that what should i do

I HAD BEEN GIVEN MY NOKIA SET MODEL N85 AT NOKIA CARE M/S POOVATH INTERNATIONAL COCHIN -18 FOR REPAIR.IT IS SHOCKING TO LET YOU KNOW THAT EVEN AFTER 4 REPEATED VISIT AFTER 15 DAYS OF MY VALUABLE TIME AND DATE SET AS NOT BEEN REPAIRED TILL NOW.

when ever i set my phone n85, to factory setting. The screen start blinking with standby menu incomplete. The voice-commend don't start(work). It start to hang frequently, for which i have to take out the battery everytime. And the battery run out of charge within 6-7 hrs of re-charge.

Nokia N85 — harassment during servce

I have a Nokia N85 which had developed some dark spots on the camera. I gave it for repairs in June an it was repaired! The same problem came up again in Dec 09! I gave it for repairs again(The phone is still under warranty)!
However they can't seem to fix it, they keep on sending it to their main office but it comes back with the same problem, each time they send it i have to wait for over a week!
I even wrote to Nokia about my problem and they said that thay were looking into the matter!
Now it has been over a month and i am disgusted with them!
I asked for a replacement, they replied that they will send it to the main office and if they say yes only then will the phone be replaced! For that i have to again wait for a week!

Is there anything that i can do to resolve the matter in a few days, can you help me teach the company a lesson!!


Also i would like to point out that many of the new N-series phones are developing black spots on their cameras(sometimes not visible till seen against a white backdrop), even my brothers' phone(N-79) had the same problem and they harassed him for 2 months till they gave him 2 replacements(the first replacement was defective).
Is there any way to make them do a product recall?

Please help m i have had enough with this company!
