[Resolved] Nokia Service Center, Malleswaram, Bangalore — Technically Non Qualified or Cheaters ? | |
Hi, I would like to bring to your notice the incident that took place few days. I own a Nokia N70 handset which was still under warranty. Ten days back i had some issue with this handset (mobile was not charging no issue with charger or with battery) took it to the nearest Noika Service Center address as give below NOKIA CARE BRIGHTCAREE #25/1, Srikanta Mahal, 1st floor, 1st cross, Sampigae Road, Malleshwaram Bangalore -03 My first visit was on 19th June 2008, i filed the complaint under Warranty and was told that i would get a call back in next 2 days with the repair status and I need not contact them. Waited for 4 long days and since i didnot hear anything from them i called Noika Care got to know that the problem has been fixed and i can collect the handset back. Visited serivce ctr on 24th had to wait for along time for someone to come back with an update which was bit irritating for me. Issue not resolved as there is a "water log" within the handset and cannot be fixed under warranty repair scheme. They could try to fix with "Dead Approval" which means they would try to fix the issue and in the process if the handset goes dead they will not take any responsibility for the same. I had paid 12k to this handset how could i take such chance. Then the so called Manager of this place spoke to me and assured me that they have identified the cause for this issue and can fix it under Chargable basis which means i need to pay for the service. I approved for the same and was assured that i would get this in next two days. Job Sheet Number :[protected]/080624/99 For Six days i didnot hear anything from them so called back Nokia care on 30th got a shocking message that the issue cannot be resolved by them and i can collect the handset back. Visited Noika care on the same day and spoke one of the guys here who was trying to say too much of nonsense. So spoke to the so called Manager who said they cannot fix the issue as there is water log and the only option is to replace the mother board which costs 80% of the handset cost. Even after telling this guy this mobile has only issue with charging and everything else works fine how can we suspect motherboard to be the cause. Manager was talking all senseless (being a techncial engineer am aware how a electronic gadget works atleast the basics). He was eager to get the mother board replaced. I got the handset back from them in non fixed condition. Finally i descided to give to a nearby local service center, the concerned engineer here confirmed that he can fix the issue and will be able to give the handset back in one working day. Gave the handset on 01 July and got the same back in working condition on 02 July. According to this engineer there was IC which had failed and replacement of the same has fixed the issue. I was charged 620/- Now I would like to challenge the Nokia Service Ctr for the sloppy work and incompitentancy. Also i feel these authorized ctrs are cheating common man and trying to loot them. I would like to put this issue in consumer court and teach a lesson to such cheaters need your advice. Was this information helpful? | |

Please complaint in the Nokia official website then you might get any thing done for the carelessness of tha Nokia care guys

I agree!!! They robbed me too.. i told them my music player doesnt work n they replaced my camera.. best part is nothing got fixed, my pphone is still screwed
I agree wit such kinda behaviour. My mobile is now in Nokia centre. I was facing a software problem and they told me that its upgraded. When i went to collect it, i found that music keys were fixed upside down and the display glass was broken. I asked them politely to fix it. Lets wait and watch how they will return it and in what condition.
I also had a very similar experience with the same Malleswaram service center.

My mobile was basic 1202 and it was only 2 weeks old. My mobile was also not charging, no problems with mobile or battery. The mobile was working. Initially they told its due to 'Liquid Damage' and wont come under warrenty, it will cost some 300 Rs (150 for service charge + 150 for component). After 2 days, I got a call from the service center saying that the mobile can not be repaired, its mother board is faulty. After collecing the mobile from service center, I complained about this service center to nokia care help line, but as usual nothing happened. FOLLOW-UP: I kept the mobile unused for 2 days and tried charging...to my wonder its charging properly. If Nokia really cares for their customers, then should take severe action against such useless service centers.
