[Resolved]  O'General AC — About non-working/ malfunctioning of Window AC and Very poor after sales services - O'GENERAL

I have purchased a Window AC AX wireless series by one of your reputed authorised dealer at Vikas Marg i.e., Navrang Audio-Video, Lakshmi Nagar, Vikas Marg, Delhi on 23.05.2010. Upon opening the packing to make it functional in presence of expert engineer, I discovered that the panel of the AC (plastic part) is cracked upon which I immediately called the dealer but he showed his helplessness to replace the same and assured that the breakage is not significant and won’t affect the performance of the AC (since not the part of cooling machinery), from this you can imagine the fate of spending worth thousands of rupees for buying cracked products.

However, I got the same installed with a positive mind-set that the AC would bestow best performance but all my imagination/ positive mind-set got shattered after few days of its use. Here it is worth mentioning that I bought the said AC keeping the reputation of your company in mind and O’-General’s AC MRP is the costliest in the market, known for best performance but unfortunately it’s other way round in performance and your companies poor after sales support. Needless to say that even not a single time I have received a call from your company for demo of product. After few days of purchase, the said AC use to get shut down automatically after working for mere 2-3 minutes and same thing continued till date. I have contacted your customer care which doesn’t respond at all and shall be categorized under POOR AFTER SALES SERVICE. I read the instructions manual provided with the defective AC and found that neither even a single contact address nor phone number is mentioned. I myself learnt how to fix timer and about the dust cleaning process, which on your part is poor after sales services/ deficiency in services. I also fear that your authorised dealer might have sold me an old used model. I again contacted your authorised dealer from where I bought this product, who again showed his inability to replace the product and suggested me to approach O’GENERAL directly. He stated that we are just the agents of companies collecting money and selling their products and rest things needless to say is directly company job which again caused huge mental agony and harassment. I have purchased this product because of your company reputation in consumer goods and after sales service.

I am suffering hardships since the day of purchase of AC as the same is working abnormally and having serious manufacturing defects and further you have completely failed to address the manufacturing defects in your product. Therefore, you are requested to either replace the said defective Air Conditioner with any other present model or refund the present price of the AC immediately.
