[Resolved]  Overnite Express — Overnite not able to keep its commitment - Waybill No:[protected]

This is Amit Jagwani. I am extremely unsatisfied with the pathetic services of Overnite Express Delivery.

Following is the chain of events whch lead me to write such a statement:

I was suppose to recieve a document from HSBC, which was given by HSBC to Overnite (for faster delivery?) on 25/03/09 so that its is delivered by 27/03/09 (Friday).
When I did not recieve the document on 27/03/09, I asked my wife, Mehek Jagwani, to give a call to Overnite on 28/03/09 at 11:00 AM in the morning to enquire about the document.
At that point of time she was told by the customer service executive that the document will be delievered today. (Saturday, 28/03/09)
Again at 12:30 she gave a call to confirm the time as the document was very urgent. At that time she was informed that the document was with an agent, A.S. Majhi and was also given his contact number ([protected]).
She gave a call to AS Majhi to request delivery at the earliest.
The person was very rude and disconnected the call stating 'Giving a call everytime will not make any difference' and the document will be delivered by 08:30PM-09:00PM only.
She again called Overnite to inform them about the same, this time stating how important the document was, and requested delivery by 07:30PM.
The line was connected to the manager/supervisor, Baishak. He was informed about the urgency. He committed that he cnnot promise the time(as the agent does not have the delivery boy's contact number), but the document would certainly be delivered today. (Saturday, 28/03/09) He also confirmed to give a call at 08:45PM - 09:00PM if the document was not recieved.
We again called at 08:50 PM to speak with Baishak. He had left for the day! The representative who recieved the call after checking the call logs, again confirmed that the document will be delivered today and he would cll us back after speaking with Baishak and the agent AS Majhi. I also told him that once its 09:00 PM, I will have no one to turn for help as everyone will have left by that time. He promised to give a callback after checking with the supervisor and the agent. I did not recieve the call. I tried calling the agent again. His mobile was switched off at 09:05 PM

The document was finally delivered on Sunday, 29/03/09 which occured a loss of Rs.55, 000.00 for me.
