[Resolved]  Professional Couriers - Rajahmundry — Irresponsibility - Rude behaviour - Delayed delivery

I sent an application form which was very important and urgent to reach my parents in Rajahmundry. I had sent it on 9-Jan-09 through Professional Couriers, Ramapuram branch of Chennai. The consignment number is MAA[protected] and the consignment was done at 17:30 hrs. I was assured by the agent that the cover gets dispatched the same day and it will reach destination on Monday.

Monday my father went to the nearest branch that comes in the coverage of my locality and enquired. The reply from the agent was bit surprising. There is no information about the provided consignment number. The head office in Rajahmundry too doesn't have any information about this. My father had to visit three times on Monday and Tuesday because of the emergency of the contents in the cover.

Tuesday evening I gave a compliant in the Ramapuram office where I booked the order. They said they will get back to me in an hour but no reply from them. Since Jan 14 being a holiday, there is no service. On 15 Jan at night 20:00 hrs my father got a phone call and the other guy on the phone asked whether there is any complaint? Literally this is what that asked. You are waiting eagerly for two days to get your courier and this creature is asking whether we have any complaint. That has disconnected the phone when my father asked what complaint because he doesn't know that I had given a complaint to the Chennai office.

On Friday 16 Jan at 11:30 one guy came to deliver and when asked why this much delay in delivering, that A** H*** rudely replied that he got the cover on 11th Jan night and took it along with him to home and since he went out of station he couldn't deliver it. How irresponsible this reputed courier employees are behaving. My father called the local agent's office and informed this to the supervisor. The supervisor says because of door lock the delivery boy couldn't deliver it all these days. What the [censored] is this? The delivery guy name is Lakshman and he is not at all guilty of what he did and added to that he provided wrong information to the superiors and records just to make himself safe. When questioned about the rude behaviour and irresponsibility of the delivery guy, there is no proper respnse from his superior.

One thing is clear. The so called Professional Couriers is no more behaving like the way it used to be couple of years ago. During the inception of this organisation you used to get delivery the second day anywhere in India.

If any of the responsible persons of Professional Couriers happen to read this, kindly take necessary action on these guys who play with the customers. Also, please give franchisee taking some commitment from them otherwise get ready to shut down your business soon. I am not joking. It's definitely going to happen soon if your service is pathetic like this. Other complaints in this site on you shows how frustrated the public is on your services.

What is mentioned above is day to day things with every courier. The people are not bother because their is no panelty for any mishandling.
Once the material is given to courier, you are then at their mercy.
And, please donot expect any positive reply, prompt action or follow up on your complaint. Because it is not their parcel so they have " Goto Hell" attitude. As they are not loosing anything if they donot reply.
