I agree with the issue. They never go on meter fare and charge with whatever they want which is generally twice the actual fare. Hope the PCMC RTO takes step for this.

Pune auto drivers are taking more that terrife fare and their behavior is too rude.Pune Auto — Misconduct of auto walas
Auto drivers of pune travel on their own will and refuse to travel between short distances . If they agree to travel, they demand double prices.They need to learn how to behave with the consumers. I cam across such a rude driver whose auto details are:

I wanted to travel from cybage kalyani nagar to shastri chauwk. Firstly he refused & then he asked me to pay double the prices in a manner as if he is doing some mercy of me.
Its the general public that bears because of this. its such a pity that authorities are sleeping. Can pune authorities take any action against such cases..which are prevalent from long time before in pune?
I totally agree on this, I was waiting to get a rickshaw from sarasbaug at around 8 pm to sinhagad road with family and the rickshaw driver said he wont come as he wont get a return customer, as if its my problem, the phone number for rickshaw complaint never works, either no one picks up or there is no response [protected], How do people travel from here to there, I dont understand.
I agree from Cybage they are never ready to go to Viman Nagar also or else they would charge you almost double the fare.

I returned back today morning at 5:20am, n step out of the bus at shivaji nagar.
I hired an auto from shivajinagar to go to Shivaji putla.
The meter till i reach at my place was showing me 9.8km, and the card which the person was carrying shown 98rs. And according to my knowledge the Pune auto fares goes this way 1km 11rs and then from the 2km 9 rs per km.
But he said from 1st june it got changed n its 10rs now also the card he was carrying reflected the same.
And according to my knowledge in between 00 am to 5 am, its only half return that 1 need to give.
But he asked me full return saying that even this got active from 1st june 2011.
so in all for 9.8kms i paid 200rs this morning.
So could u tell me something unfair he did or my knowledge is lacking some whr???

Every time I travel from Swargate to Jaydev nagar (Rajaram bridge), Sinhagad road share auto take 15 rs, this auto driver said 20 rs and saying it's normal charges behaviour is also rude. Auto no- 6362 he is not even ready to lessen to me
Unfair Auto Fares — Unfair Auto fares in Pune
The rickshaw drivers in PIMPLE SAUDAGAR area in pune ask for return fare for going to any place in pune. They have formed a group in this area and do not allow any other rickshaw to take passenger. Because of this reason, autos from other part of the city also ask for return fare to go to that area because they do not get any passenger. I'm not sure whether RTO department is aware of this or not. But this is completely illegal and should be acted upon. In short, the pepole living in pimple saudagar are suffering due to this.
