[Resolved]  Pune Railway Station Parking — Pune Railway Station Parking Charges

Now days pune station parking is charging Rs.10, on receipt also it is mentioned Rs. 10 for every six hour, I am sure those receipts are not authentic, please let me know where to complaint about this.
we can complain there and by using right to information act we can ask them about the action on those culptits.

Sir, it is observed that some people puts some news paper on the seats in the trains ( General Department ), and sell this seats for Rs. 20 each. This is very bad on the point of tourist. We request to Station Master for stopping this activity. Trains Name- Deccan Express, Pune _Indore Express.

On Pune station parking now there are boards saying Rs.5/- for each slot of 6 hours.
But we are actually charged 5 to 10 extra for a slot of 5 or 10 hours every time.
When we bring to their notice that they are charging us much more than that is displayed, they will become aggressive and use abusive language. Finally we will end up paying that extra amount to avoid any further confrontation.
This actually amounts to extorsion than harrassment.
But our systems are too busy to take action or may be they are receiving their due share to keep away.

Similar thing is happening at Shivaji Nagar Railway parking also.The contractor is demanding more money for monthly pass. The displayed board [ which is not easily seen] mentions that a monthly pass will cost Rs 60/- per month. The contractor is demanding different amounts from different people in the range of Rs 150/- to Rs 280/- per month.[ customers are actually paying it as there is no other alternative] The language used is also very aggressive

Similar experience from Shivaji Nagar railway parking contractor - When somebody asks for monthly pass he questions whether you are new or old member, for new member he demands double amount.As there are no different rates of monthly railway pass ( Season ticket )for old or new member, Why there should be different rates for old & new members for parking?Why the rate of monthly pass for parking is printed on the pass issued?
If railway can arrange for collecting parking pass along with season ticket from booking window, it will not only be convenient for daily passengers, but will help railway authorities to stop such malpractices.

On 27th March 2011, I faced a similar kind of problem.

I had parked my scooter at the pay and park stand next to Le Meridian.

Their is a display board which says, Rs 5/- for 6 hours and part there of.

Also, the receipt issued to me said the same.

But, in reality, the parking contractor was demanding Rs. 50/- instead of correct charges of Rs 35/-.

Even their attitude and behaviour is very bad. They are very aggressive and use foul language.

I urge the railway authorities to take strict action against the contractor.

as a genral public i am posting this article, now a days two wheeler parkin contractors are charging Rs.10/- per hour at Pune station (just infront of satation's ATM) ., and if any ony one dare to ask the actual rate, contractor and his alliances will start using abusive languages and even they can be physical with you...18th april 2011

Pune station parking is charging Rs 10/- for two wheelers and Rs. 20/- for four wheelers. This much charge is unafoordable to genral public. The facility for parking is nothing for which we are paying rs 10 is too much. can any one ask the authority how come its charging rs 10 on a public place like station. Even some of the big malls giveing free parking where parking area is excellent then why station is charging rs. 10???????????/

Do any one know who is in-charge/ authority for this parking area?
i mean, Railway authority or PMC?

Parking charges issue is from very long time, we should take this serious & stop this Fraud.

can we complain about this to railway police?

At pune railway station parking charge as per board is Rs. 10 for four wheeler. But at night they are charging Rs 20/- There is no board or display for this charge.

For those who have complaints against such miscreants, keep these two numbers (and post if you have more numbers here). They belong to the Pune Traffic Police.

The police are there to help you. If someone harasses you, just don't budge and call the police. You have the right to call '100' too, if you don't get through to the above numbers. The police are paid salaries from taxes collected from the public, they are there to help the public. Feel free to call them. If one doesn't respond, call again. Call till someone answers and shows up. Stand up to these thieves.

Even I have also faced the same issue paying 10 more in night, they are arrogant people & abuse. I urge authorities to attend it.

I have booking a ola can and coming to the station in Front of station gave but when we are going and exit from station gate then parking men are coming and deemand 20 rs this is right or wrong i think this is wrong but we r not park the car why we r paid ? I m just sit from station gate where i m giving complete india ke kise station par asa behaviour nhe hai

There is a 5 storeyed Parking by PMC opposite Pune Station. All the walls are painted with message that monthly pass is Rs.150/-. However the contractor says that Pass method has been closed down. Big Loot going on considering daily 1500 vehicles are parked @Rs.2/- per hour.

It is the common citizens tax money which was used to build the parking. The contractor is looting the citizen. PMC Administration has hand-shaken with the contractor.

For nearly 12 hour parking 1st the asked my to pay Rs.120/- and then when I insisted for bills, they gave 4 parking slips of Rs.20/- each totaling Rs.80/- When I asked him to show rules books or call the traffic police then they became abusive. I think this mater is to be taken by higher-ups.

I've been seeing this rude parking employee at #Pune #RailwayStation since a long time. Actually since the last 20 years. It happened again today when this guy asked for Rs.30 instead of Rs.20 without any reason and started abusing me and my family.
I raised a complaint on #Twitter to #SureshPrabhu & #IndianRailways and within 8 minutes it was escalated to #BKMDadabhoy the #DRM for Pune

Rs 120 for 24 hours. This is too much!!! I was went to Bombay yesterday and I parked my bike at #Pune #RailwayStation. I had parked my bike at 5:45 in the morning and I returned at 12:30 AM (next day). 18 to 19 hrs I had park my bike and I have paid 80 Rs for that. Even their attitude and behaviour is very bad. Pune Railway Station parking contractor has following method:
1. Confidently demand for Rs 10-20 higher than the rightful amount.
2. Do not give receipt if not asked. If asked use a dark sketch pen to ensure the amount is not visible.
3. Be rude, shout, even abuse if someone tells them they are doing wrong.

Look at the list of complaints on this page...no one really bothers. Probably the contractor is politically well connected.
