[Resolved] Regional Passport Office — Damaged Passport - Pending for long time | |||
Hi, It is with immense agony that I am lodging this complaint against the Passport office, Cochin. For renewing my passport, [E3429333], at Regional Passport office Cochin, I got an appointment on April 17th [Through Passport Seva Kendra]. Till this date there is no information regarding the status of the passport. When I checked the online status after couple of weeks, it said “Police verification pending”. But I went in person to police station and they confirmed that they haven’t received the file. So on June 1st, I again went to RPO Cochin, and they said that file might have been lost somewhere!!!! & they will forward it again. But I’s been 2 weeks post that and still I don’t know what is happening with my passport. Now am not sure whom to contact and where to look !!!! Hence I thought of lodging a complaint directly with the hope that I might get a resolution. My file number is : File No. CO[protected] Was this information helpful? | |||

I have applied for my daughter's Passport and received in June 2009,
By mistake I have written wrong Birth Place in the passport application form, where as original Birth Place is different and in the Passport Birth Place is written as per application form which is wrong. Now i want to change the birth place . What is the procedure? Can you please let me know the procedure in detail, as i have inquired here with agents and in GPO, they had given diff. - diff. procedures. At the time of application I have also attached Brith Certificate mentioning original birth place.
If I want to apply for new passport with correct birth place than what is the procedure, as her passport will expire in 2014. In that case, what is to be done with current passport and is it require any application for change in birth place?
Please reply as soon as possible.
