[Resolved]  Sagar Hospital — Worthless Hospital

My daughter (age 8 years) was admitted at Sagar hospital for Type 1 diabetes, the first day was all fine, later we had major issues with the hospital staff. The senior nurses there do not know how to administer a child's insulin injection for a type 1 diabetic. My daughter had wounds in her stomach due to wrong administration. Apart from that the private wards are not maintained properly and have malfunctioned equipment. They make you cough up a whooping amount of money for the private wards. Since it was an emergency there was no choice for us. They also sent in a 3 tests which costed us 25,000 (only the test), which we we not even informed or intimated about. The reports came 10 days after her discharge. If i had done it outside it might have costed me 6000 to 7000. They do not give you a discharge date and they just try to keep u in the hospital to squeeze in as much money as possible. When we spoke to Dr. Umesh, Assistant Medical Director, he says we cannot do much. He was not at all helpful in solving our problem. We landed paying Rs. 60,0000 for the entire treatment (which included only blood sugar monitoring, insulin administration, keystone analysis). I suggest to all the readers, any emergency please do not go to Sagar hospital in dairy circle. One of the worst hospitals to be in.
