[Resolved]  Samsung India / Split Ac — Poor Product Quality and Poor Service Levels

Dear Sir,
My father Mr. K. Rangachari who is aged around 80 years has purchased a Samsung AC Split 1.5ton (182 UGA) from your dealership M/s. Rathna Cools Pvt Ltd, Chennai. The bill number is 8350 dated 28th April 2010 and the amount paid was Rs. 24,690/-. He also agreed to pay the installation charges of Rs.1000/- immediately on installation. As per the agreement the AC was supposed to be delivered on the 2nd of May and the installation to be done on the 3rd of May. This did not happen. After repeated follow up with Mr. Gopinath and Subramanian of the dealership the AC was delivered on the 3rd only. Once again after repeated follow up with Prabhu & Bhaskar of the installation department, two youngsters by name Shivakumar and Rajkumar were sent on the 5th of May for installation. After assembling the unit they informed that since the unit does not have gas in it it will not work and went off. Once again after repeated follow up they came on the 6th May filled gas
ran it for some time and left. When my father used it in the night the AC unit again failed. Once again on the 7th my father called them to come and fit the unit based on which they came, did something and then informed that the unit itself is faulty and some components have to be replaced. They said that they can do it only tomorrow.
Sir, I am really disappointed to see that such a big company like Samsung doesnt seem to have a proper quality check on the items that is being produced and supplied to consumers like us. In addition to this without even doing a pre delivery inspection the item is being delivered to the consumer and the technical team responsible for the functioning of the unit fits the unit and then checks it and finds out that there is a fault in the unit. In the process my father who is 80years old is subjected to mental agony and real torture in following with your people to get the job done. His health has been seriously affected due to the harassment that is being metted to him. Hence, I would appreciate if you can personally address the matter.
