[Resolved] Seven Square Academy, Mira Road, Thane. — Re:School demanding extra 2 month fees with increased monthly fees structure | |
Dear Sir/Madam, This is to bring into your kind notice that the school (Seven Square Academy) which is situated in Mira Road-Thane, we got our daughter admitted in that school in Jr KG and now promoted in class Sr.KG. We were very assured from the school about the facilities and the quality education. But now instead of paying 12 month fees (June 08- May 09) school is demanding two month extra fees. Not only they are in process of to hike the overall school fees, they have raised school-bus rates also. One more thing I would like to inform you that this school is just one year old. It is CBSC board affiliated school which was started last year in June-2008 and hence on their convenience they started with academic session as June to May & now they changed session as April to March. As per the previous session, they collected fees till May of this Year 2009 (inclusive of Bus & meals Charges) and after the change in session again they demand fees from April to June 2009 and with audacity of proclaiming a 2-month overlapping charges would be levied and one can complaint wherever he/she may want... So, it's intention clearly shows unethical aimed at flaying & milking the gullible parents!!! It's a complete business built on wrong ethics and not at all educational ethics.Hope someone will take notice to put this restrictions and curb this kind of malpractices being carried out in the name of educational institutes.We are planning to write to CBSE board, Delhi and Cosumer Forum as well. Absolutely Correct what she writ. This school is doing a professional organised business. They were even charged 2 months extra for Meal also. Which was later adjusted in the currenct academic. But the Tution fees they should refund at any cost. It was there fault since they started the academic session from Jun08-May09
Even this year they have make it mandatory to get the school unisoform even though your earlier uniform is in good condition. This all are business. Till today they have not provided socks and extra button.
This year they have increase in Food, Trnasport, Books & Tustion fees without any reason. They increased en no. of division against each class and also make 2 shift but instead of decreasing the charges they make it increased.
Atleast preprimary charges should not be so hiked. I am 100% sure they way scholld get response initialy, the same way this school will shut there gate just becauls of their Business attitude instead of Education.
I am fully agreed with Alka Singh and alway with you. I am also planing to send a letter to CBSE Board.

What you say is correct but we are discussing about the unjustified Terms which School is asking to pay. I think you will agreed with that.
If you see the news paper for last one week, everywehre parents are getting fade up of this hike and unjustified charges. Which we all together should protest. Our ministers are useless and they will never look on this since they are earning more money from other issues. So, we should bring this issues to everyones mind.

I agree to all the complaints but if we all do not take appropriate action, nothing is going to happen. The complaints will not affect the school’s business. There are many parents who can afford the school fee or they do not have time to take care of their children’ study or they believe in showing their standard. And school understands these facts very well.
The parents who are taking their children’ education seriously or who belong to lower income group should take up this issue in the right direction. I think we should inform CBSE officers (Email IDs and tel nos. are given above) and keep on raising these issues constantly.
Apart from fee hike, extra charges etc, I have some issues below:
-The website is not so useful. It takes too much of time to download a worksheet. The option to download all the worksheets together should be available.
-I wrote 2 emails for some issues but did not get any response from school.
-The bus facility is costlier than other schools. To their convenience the buses do not come to the right place to pick up the child.
If you look very closely and compare with other schools, you will find many more issues apart from the listed above and raised by others.

I was also shocked to learn about it.Being a a CBSE School it should have taken the fee till 30 th March.It happend because the school started late because the approachable road to the school was not ready. As such My son who was studying in class VI had to give school fees upto May2009.

i had shifted to mumbai last year & since it was in mid session so had no other option except this school...i really dont know whethet this school is CBSE affiliated or not.
