Shalini — airline

sir/maam,
My daughter saakshi lunkad travelled on 2nd jan.1010 from geneva-isatnbul on turkish airlines and then onwards to mumbai. She is 13yrs old and a UM was done at Geneva airport and they said that they would take care of transfers with her. The flight was delayed by 3hrs. The man on the desk told us that if she misses her connection she wld be put on a dubai bound flight and onwards to mumbai.

when she reached Istanbul there was no one to even guide her. On asking the person a man there just at the gate of the flight she was nudged and pushed slightly and asked to follow the people going towards transit. She called me and while on the international call i guided her to to find a turkish airline desk. once she reached the desk the lady there did not even listen to her so she missed her 8.10pm connection which left istanbul at 9.10pm. She was then told to spend the night at the airport and no hotel could be provided as there wwere no rooms . also she could not be provided a room outside thre hotel as she does not have a visa. I asked my daughter to let me speak to them,I told the I was an U.S.Citizen and issuing her a visa is really required if she has to spend the next 24hrs in Istanbul. After some pleading she was put on the 11.50pm flight to Dubai. NO food or coupons were given to her. They also at this point took ker Geneva istanbul boarding pass and her baggage tickets. No dubai mumbai boarding pass was also given to her. She was then asked to leave and had to find the gate on her own.

she reached dubai at 6am and again there was no one to guide her. again whilebeing on the phone i guided her.she reached the emirates desk where there was no one.some one told her to go to the other terminal where the emirates staff told her to go back to turkish desk and ask for her baggage tags. she was tired hungry scared and exhausted. i asked her to sit down for a while as she could not walk anymore.


somehow she reached the turkish desk and was asked to go back to emirates desk as there was no way to get her baggage tags. i spoke over the phone and asked the person there to help her board the flight but all he did was give the extension no. and asked her to go back to the other terminal to emirates desk. When she reached the emirates desk,they now could not accept her as she was a UM and so the wait began as someone from turkish had to come and hand her over. this ordeal finally ended after half hour and somehow she made it to her 9. 30 am flight to mumbai.

On her arrival to mumbai they took an hour to file her courtesy report and then they waited for the luggage. then they refused to file a report as they said that she cannot get a claim.after an ordeal of two hours at the airport she finally came out at 3.30pm.


sir,it is completely wrong to treat a young passenger like this. The only way i could provide her some support was she had a phone for which my bill is $500. besides this the mental torture that i and my family have gome through.pls make an enquiry and also am looking for compensation.

shalini — sent parcel through registered mail & it was stolen

i sent many items to usa & uk many of my parcel is not reached it yet & many reached it without the product only envelope is reached what to do cant understand
I am residing in Sengappa konar street, sundarapuram post, coimbatore-24. There are nearly twenty stray dogs in our area. It creates more nuisance. We are afraid to come out during early morning or late night. Daily the number of dogs are increasing. Please do something to get rid of these dogs from our area.
