My Dad underwent an operation for Pacemaker transplant at Wockhardt, Mulund, Mumbai in 2005. For first two years there were no issues wrt regular check-ups. However, from the 3rd Year onwards, its almost impossible to get hold of any Sorin representation in India. As a result, we have not been able to do regular check-ups on the pacemaker. The situation is very scary. It would be great if we are able to exert pressure on Sorin to have an adequate representation in India so that the patients donot have to go through such harrowing experience.
