[Resolved]  Star Cj Alive — no refund

I had orderded for 2 arissa classic beige art silk embroided saree (item no-102688)on 10th may through star cj website through net banking,order no-[protected],invoice no[protected],but only got 1 on 12th may'11(the total payment made was-4998/- I;e rs2499/- Per saree)the bill that I received with the saree clearly shows that I had orderd for two sarees.I made a written complaints twice regarding the missing item one on 12th may(the same day I received the order)and the other one on 22nd may, and the only call I got from the company was on 13th may and after that I made 3-4 calls to knw the status of the complaint and got the same answer that I'LL get a call from their head office,mumbai in the next 24-48hrs,which I never received .Finally I got fed up and realised that I wont be getting my product,so I again gave them a call on 26th may telling them to cancel my order so that I could get my money back for the one saree I never received. I had a verbal interation with ms.Ruchi,whom the call center person had connected on my insistence that I wanted to talk to their senoir,who again showed no intrest and she gave me the same answer that I'll be getting a call from the head office within 24-48hrs.Again I never received a call from the company so I again filed a written complaint on 8th june'11,telling them to expedite the whole thing or else I'll be compelled to take legal action, still I never received a call nor my online query was addressed.I am absolutely fed up with the whole situation .How can a company which has a reputed name be so irresponsible??.Its been more than a month now that I have been following the whole issue but haven't received any positive response from them.Finally, i wrote to Grahak Seva(online jago grahak initiative,complaint no 15056) on 10th June,and on 13th June I got a call from one of the representative of Star CJ, Ms Zara, who introduced herself to me as one of the representative of the complaint department and she assured that i'll be getting the refund (of Rs2499/-) within 7 working days, and according to her they had not send me the other saree as they were running out of stock and therefore had send only one saree and so i was wating for the refund to be credited in my account.She also accepted the fact that she has called me because i have submitted my complaint in Grahak seva.My question is how and why did the Company then accepted the money if they were running out of stock??This means that the Company has some fradulant payment system where they accepts the payment of those product which are out of stock, And then later harras the customers, like they are harrassing me.This again is an illegal practice that they are following which needs to be checked.

On 16th June'11,without consulting me or even asking me the Company sends me some other saree(its not the same saree i had ordered) which i don't need nor had asked for in my conversation with Ms Zara ,I had already made it very clear to Ms Zara that, i want my money back and not anything else in lieu of it.I again wrote a complaint to Grahak Seva on 17th June apprising them about the whole issue, within 4 days (on 21st June) i got a call from Mr Vishal who again introduced himself as a representative from the complaint department. As per him, somebody from the company had called me but i did not receive the call. He failed to mention the date and the time when the call was made to me, and even if i take his words,which is certainly not true, this dosen't give them the liberty to send anything they feel like without my prior concent or approval.This i believe they have done to shut me up and close the case from their side.I told him to initiate the refund as soon as possible, to which he said that some representative from the company will come and collect the saree what they had send on 16th June and once the saree is collected will they initiate the refund and not before that. I even agreed to this,even though the company has not done anything to gain my trust. I told him that as i will be out town till 30th June and they can contact me after that. He assured me that one of the representative will definately contact me after 30th June and that i need not worry.

Till date (12th July'11), I haven't received any call from any of the representative.I have no faith in the company, and now i don't even wish to talk to any of the representative as it just a waste of my time and energy.I request you to kindly take some stern action against the Company as this issue has been dragging over since the past two months and the Company is not bothered.I am mentally exhausted now and want some legal action again the company. Firstly, for accepting the payment for the product that they don't have, Secondly, for not refunding the amount as soon as they got to know their mistake,Thirdly, sending a bribe to close the case.


I request you to kindly look into the matter and take the requisite legal action.

Im Preeti n completely agree with you with regards to the pathetic after sales service from Star CJ.
The handlers have no idea how to handle escalation calls, they do not know what is being customer centric.They work in their office without managers or TLs, they take complaints in the air, a follow up is never done.Even if considered that handlers take the compalint inform TLs or manager then the so called managers (eg : Mr Tushar Gaikwad) do not have guts to call back customers to solve the issue. Very BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.Handlers do not know the heirachy and they do not give managers contact number nor email address, suprisingly they do not know the centre head office address too. wont blame the handlers but truely the management starting from Tls n seniors they all are pathetic. My contact no is [protected] if any Marketing HEAD reads this message please if you have the guts face and handle a customers query. Thanks.
