[Resolved]  Taggle.com — Taggle.com has cheated me and swindled my money

I placed an order for Dell 15R laptop and paid Rs.31999/- on July 3rd, 2011. As per your T&C, I should receive the laptop in 12 days. After one week, when I checked the My Account page in your web site (www.taggle.com), the status showed as "Purchased". No other details like the shipment status were updated. I used the Live Chat option in your web site to talk to an executive. The executive said that generally no other details will be updated in the My Account page(!). But the executive told me that it has been shipped through Chronos Couriers and the Tracking Number is 78062.


When I checked in the web site of Chronos Couriers, it said it was under "International Shipping". That is when I came to know that this consignment is from abroad. I again checked with the executive and I was told that it will reach in a week.


Last week (by Monday{11-Jul} or Tuesday{12-Jul}), I got a call from somebody who said that he was calling from Cart2India. He said they are ones who has ordered the laptop and responsible for delivering it to me. He said that the consignment is in the Customs and they are trying to identify where the product is, but they are confident that it will reach me before 22-Jul. He said that he will call me again the next day to confirm the 'exact date of delivery'. But then the guy didn't bother to call me at all.


Today morning (18-Jul), I checked the tracking status in Chronos courier web site with the above tracking number. It still showed the status as "Under Customs Clearance". I was not sure why it is taking more than a week at Customs, so I again used the Live Chat option in your web site to complain about the same. The executive said that I have to contact Cart2India, as they are responsible for order and delivery. I contacted Cart2India and the executive was speaking rubbish about the laptop delivery.


First, she said that it was under customs, but they have lost that item. So, she told me that I have two options - to reorder or take my money back. I said I don't want my money back, but I was worried that Taggle had recently changed the offer from Rs.31999/- to Rs.27999/- with far few features. She said I can only get what is being offered by Taggle now. I said I cannot accept this, as I had originally paid Rs.31999/-. She said that she cannot do anything and asked me to contact Taggle. I asked her why I should call them, as it is between Taggle and Cart2India to coordinate this. Then she took some time to talk to somebody in her office then told me that the shipment is not lost and that they know where the consignment is but will take 10 days to deliver. It made me suspicious that they have messed up with the order and that they are trying to do a fresh order only now. I asked her that why it should take 10 days to deliver if it is within India. Also, she was not able to tell me what was the details contained in the order given to them by Taggle. She said that she knows only the title "Dell 15R Inspirion" but nothing else. I asked her that if they (Cart2India) don't know what is the order details, how will the fulfil my order. Unable to answer my questions, she asked me 30 minutes time to give me answers.


Again I used the Live Chat option at Taggle web site and this time I spoke to a person called Zardeen. I told her the entire story. She took some time to talk to that Cart2India executive. She admitted that the Cart2India had messed up with the order and she also confirmed that I will be receiving the laptop with the configuration promised for Rs. 31999/-. Then I contacted her over phone.


She told me that Cart2India has messed up the order and she told me that I will be getting the laptop in 12 days time, as they are making the new order. It will the same laptop as was advertised earlier for Rs.31999/-. She told me that the earlier tracking number that was given to me (78062) was not for my order and it is somebody else's (!). I asked her to provide an email to this effect. She promised me that she will send an email to this effect today and that email will contain the following aspects - that Taggle (in coordination with Cart2India) has messed up the order; that they are asking Cart2India to initiate a fresh order; that they will ship it in 12 days; that she will also provide the escalation channel at Taggle.


When I spoke to her it was 1:30PM. Now it is 7PM and I am yet to receive any email from her. In the afternoon, before talking to her, I called your customer care numbers (both TollFree and Bangalore number). Both kept ringing and nobody picked up.


So, you have literally ripped my money of Rs. 31999/- and not bothering to follow up with a kid called Cart2India (their web site says 'Coming Soon'! How irony it is that they use these two words!!) and not bothering to even address my complaint and finally not bothering to even send me an confirmation email.


Your executive casually told me that I can ask for a refund if I don't want the laptop.


Now, I want you to treat this as a formal notice. I am charging you that you have swindled my money of Rs. 31949/- and gambled with a nothing company called Cart2India, who doesnt have any web site at all. You have not bothered to follow-up on what happened to my order. You failed to update anything related to the shipment in your web site too and finally, you have cheated me by promising to make a fresh order and send an email that contains all the aspects I talked about.


If you are not replying to me in 3 days time, I am going for a LEGAL REDRESSAL in the courts of law to claim hefty damages, including the amount Rs.31949/- plus inlcuding but not limited to the interest on Rs. 31949/-. Getting a refund is MY CHOICE and not yours. I have given enough time and showed enough patience in dealing with a cheating online company like Taggle. Now I feel that we should look at the next available option. I leave it to you to decide how do you want to solve this and expecting a reply in 3 days time.
