[Resolved]  Tata Indicom Broadband Internet — Account Activation

Hi,

I have subscribed to Tata Indicom Broadband Connection - My Plan name is DS220.- account#[protected]

for first 15-20 days the Internet ran fine. On 13-14 Oct, the customer care representative called up, asking me to pay Rs 5612.00. He informed that my usage was more and that's why this much was the bill. he threatened that if i do not pay the amount within next 2 days, my connection will be suspended.

I was shocked to see 5612 rs within just 21 Days, however, I paid it promptly first, and then called up the customer care department at their number [protected] to inquire if there was a mistake in billing. The lady answered that there is no mistake and this much was my bill.

on 16th Oct - I asked them to disconnect my account as i did not want to go for such an expensive connection. The request was taken without any questions.

on 17th Oct - I called up again, just to cinfirm if that was my bill or just a security deposit to prevent my bill from overshooting my credit limit. The person informed that it was just topping up the credit limit, so I decided to retain my connection instead of cancelling it out. The Customer care executive told me that I don't have to do anything else, and my connection would remain active (without sending any emails to anyone).

On 26th Oct - my Connection was deactivated. Upon inquiry, I was informed that the technical departmetn has acted on the earlier ticket, and cancelled my connection. They asked me to send an email requesting for reactivation of the account.
My question was, if it was a mistake from tata indicom, why can't they correct it instead of making the customer go to cyber cafe and put an email to them ? The customer care representative agreed , and promised me that the connectin would be activated back within 24 Hrs

On 27th Oct - the connection was still down. Upon inquiry at [protected] , I was again once more a false promise that my connection would be activated in 24 Hrs. I talked to the supervisor named Onkar, and he informed me that my connection will be activated back without sending any email to them. This again turned out to be a false promise.

On Oct 29th, I again called up to inquire what was going on, and talked to another supervisor Bhausaheb Chavan. Bhausaheb promised that my connection would be active by 12.00 in the night on the same day (on what grounds he promised this, is unknown). As expected, the connection was still down.

On Nov 1st: I again called up because the connection is still down. again talked to Bhausaheb Chavan. This time he insisted that I should send an email to them requesting for reactivation. His tone of talking was very rude, and he behaved as if he doesn;t care if Tata Indicom loses any customer.
He informed me that my connection would not be activated if i do not send an email to them. he also informed that my bill is close to 1600, however, as i have already paid 5612.00, the remaining amout of about 3600 will not be refunded Back.

I feel really frustrated, and am feeling cheated by tata indicom.

Today I have put an email to reactivate my account which is[protected], and am waiting if my connections comes back up.

This is shear waste of time, as I am waiting for last 10-15 days to get my connection back.

Lets see how much tata indicom cares for their customers
