[Resolved] Tata Indicom — Billing dispute | |||
Sir, This is with reference to a billing dispute detailed as under. I hold the Tata Indicom (post paid) no - [protected] for the last 3 years. My average billing has been Rs 2000 per month. Tata introduced a new Blackberry service and i was converted to the same on 1st Oct 2010 at tata gallery -nerul (e). I was not told of the horrors i would face, if i had known i would not have taken up the service. After using the blackberry services for 4days, I was informed on sms that my credit limit of Rs.9600/- has been overused and to continue services make an interim payment. I visited the TATA gallery to clarify the issue and requested them to provide the reasonable reply for the high bill. In sipte of this, my connection was not blocked and TATA continue to charge me for the same. In fact to my horror the bill has climbed to a whopping Rs 19000 in 4 hours. Once i asked for the Blackberry service to be discontinued i still got charged Rs 28000 i.e a Rs 9000 extra after asking for a service disconnection. I have received a itemised bill, which does not help me in understanding how the bill was has reached to this level. In fact the tata telecom recovery personnel are visiting my house and harassing for the due bill amount. This has caused a major inconvenience to me and my family. I would not have expected this unprofessional behavior from an organisation like TATA. I would request you to please intervene into this matter and revert within 4 days or else I will have to take this case to consumer court and escalate it to higher authority. Next Month I got Bill for Re 2 for using SMS Service which I paid.Again Next month I got Bill of some Rs.563 for which I raised complaint (as i was in free period) and it was resolved but my connection was disrupted for 3- 4days for no fault of mine.The reason for my bill of 563 was that my sim was taken out from modem and so bundle offer was disrupted………Why was I not informed about the bundle offer and why Tata Indicom outlet owners were unawared of the offer………anyway my connection started after 4 days but in next bill generared on 25th April this 563 was again added and all together the bill was 1800( approx). I called your customer care and call came from TataIndicom customer care no.[protected] that Re 563 has been waived and I had to pay 799 as I was not informed about the change of plan. I paid 799 rs on 13th May as advised by Tata Indicom customer care people.Then one day a guy from tata indicom came to collect 1800 rs which I refused and scolded the personnel for harrashment……….now my connection is again disrupted for not paying Rs. 465.
My query is why will I pay 1099 for a scheme for which all new customers are paying 799!!!why I was not informed by sms, mail, phone about the new offer!!! Where is my compensatation for the 6-7 days disruption of my service plus 5 days of free period as last bill duration was from 25th March to 24th April.(My 2 month free subscription was till 30th March).I don’t have any problem in paying mere 400 rs but my ethics doesn’t allow me to do so.
So if this 465 is waivered and 799 scheme is implemented then I will continue with this connection or else I will pay for the usage for the month of April after deducting my Rs 200 as security refund……..
I’m fed up with Tata Indicom service.
