Dear Sir/Madam, I had applied for Tata Indicom Interenet (USB Modem) internet 325 Plan through Apeksha Infotech,Kothrud ,Pune on 10 January 08.The connection was activated on 24 January 08 after many mails to Tata teleservices Customer Service Department.The bill amount of Rs 12.00 received for one day (24 January 08)usage has been paid. On 28 January 08 the Customer Service person spoke to me to enquire about the service.During interaction I expressed my desire to change 325 Plan to Unlimited Plan.It was suggested to me that I submit a written request at the True Value outlet for plan change.However,on my request the Customer Service rep agreed to make the changes online i.e chnage 325 Plan to Unlimited Plan with the current billing cycle.The same was effected immediately it was informed to me that w.e.f 25 January 2008 I was subscribing to Unlimited Plan.Subsequently I started using internet service liberally.I last used internet on 09 February late night and was unable to connect the next morning.The same day i.e 10 February evening I got in touch with Customer Service department and was informed that my connection was barred due to over usage.This action by Tata Indicom was done without any prior notice. My emails to Customer Services department from 10 February onwards for restoration of the connection did not elicit desired response/action and on the contrary I was informed to immediately pay Rs 1021/- against outstanding usage of Rs 2411/- for resumption of the service. The series of actions on part of Tata Indicom right from the time of subscription of the 325 Plan to barring of the service is indicatve of poor customer service.This also qualifies as an unfair business practice resorted to by Tata Indicom after having confirmed change of Plan 325 to Unlimited Plan on 28 February. The details of customer service deficiencies are indicated below: (a) Undue delay in activating my account - activation of service on 24 January even though I had subscribed to 325 Plan on 10 Janauary 08; (b) After confirming change of plan on 28 February i.e from 325 Plan to Unlimited Plan w.e.f from billing cycle commencing 25 February, barring connection without prior intimation and asking me to pay up Rs 2411/- against Unlimited rentals of Rs 1000/-. (c) Service discontinuation even after repeated emails to Tata Indicom. My Tata Indicom Account No. is[protected].
