Tata Motors/ Tata Safari — Extremely poor service and Manufacturing Defects

After much research and being a true SUV lover I had decided to Purchase a Tata Safari. I visited ABS motors and finalized to pick one. The car was delivered on 26 Nov 2010. The car no is HR 99BG 0308.

It was anyways a very daunting experience to purchase the vehicle with highly poor service offered and numeorus unattended hours that I had to spend at the showroom doing the overall running for the vehicle paperwork myself.

Over and above the poor summary of service (which I can discuss in detail) since the time the vehicle has arrived ( 26th Nv 2010) it had to be reported for defect in Left front power window twice at service station and 2 times for noises that errupts from the front seats.

The noises are so itching to ears as if I have kept a sparrow nest on the left hand side seat and the moment the car is on the road it becomes hard and untolerable to bear the noise.

On 2 different occasions when I took the vehicle for noise correction, the complete seats were unscrewed and I was told that it is a manufacturing defect. To my surprise a dirty sponge was placed below the seats between the screw holes and screws just in case to ensure that if it was the noise errupting out of screw and screw holes as there are no rubber wachers between them

I had to spend the entire 2 days on 2 different occasions in which I was just not attended and on the second occasions ( during this sponge inserting incident) I had to talk rude to everyone just to ensure that I get heard.

The most disheartening sad and embarrasing fact about the service was that finally after standing the whole day at the ABS motors service station, I was approached for feedback and the advisor clearly asked me to score him 10/10 on all parameters. I had no option but to do it. Finally when I was called,from Maharastra ( It seems Tata customer service headquarters) and asked for feedback, I rated it at 3/10. It was not even 15 minutes that I started getting calls from Advisor, his manager etc from ABS motors taunting me as to why I was rating low.

All said and done. I really have no patience left to talk to anyone at the service station or at dealership. The noise in the vehicle are still very dominant and as the days pass by they are just getting louder and disturbing. It has made me Sad of the very strong decision that I had made to purchase Tata Safari. It has just left me in a stage of almost a mental trauma and a tormenting customer experience. Tata will never be suggested by me to anyone. I am even ready to sell my vehicle just after 3 months of purchase.


All said and done please help and support me getting rid of these manufacturing defect noises which has not been taken care of by ABS dealership or ABS service center of Tata motors in GGN.
