[Resolved]  Tata Photon Plus — Billing Mismanagement

I,Fayeza, am a user of tata photon plus (tata number - [protected], account no.[protected] from last 5 months. I have had following issues which are havent been addressed by the concerned authorities from the last one month.
I have been using photon plus's 950rs plan (tariff plan- HNI HSIA USB 950 MB Plan)which provides 2gb day usage and 10gb night usage, without any extra charges (as per there brochure and as per the informations provided to me by their officials).

1. My credit limit is 3000 INR, which means in any case i am not supposed to get a bill more than 3000Rs in one month's time. but my last month bill ( bill no.[protected], bill period - 05/12/09 to 04/01/10, credit limit 3,000.00Rs). but my lbill has come to Rs. 6,399.00... which is a mistake from their side. my usage is supposed to get barred as soon as my limit reaches 3000rs.

2. My night usage starts at 11 pm till 7 am, and most of my usages are during this stated time. but they claim tat my usage had been during the day time

3. Now for the above issue no.2, they are claiming that even if we log in at 10.59pm, and then continue using their service after 11pm, it is considered to be day time usage. But if i log in anytime after 11pm, and i continue using their service after 7am, it will be automatically considered as day time, and the night time will not be continued after 7 am. This is a pure way of fooling customers as it should be either ways that the automatic time should start, or it should not work both ways. This policy of tata indicom is against all LOGICS.

4. I have logged in a complaint regarding all the above issues and to discontinue the services (complaint number [protected] and the docket number[protected]. But there hasnt been any action taken by them over the issue. what maximum they have done is, kept on disturbing me by calling me over and over again during my office timings and asking me the issues over and over again. Everytime some new person calls me up, who is unaware of the issues, or complaint or the previous conversations i have had with other executives who have called me before, ending the conversation by saying "we will get back to you, regarding your issues after talking to higher officials" and then again someone new calls me up, and the whole story repeats again and again.

5. Everytime an official calls, he/she is unaware of the issues and the previous conversations(as stated earlier) and different data is provided to me by them everytime, contradicting the ones who have called me before.

This thing has become a real head-ache, and i am really fed up of these people, their faulty service and mismanagement from their part. I didnt have any choice other than complaining to consumer forum. I have asked all my friends, not to use tata photon plus, in future, and also asked my friends who are currently using it, to stop their service. I will not recomend anyone to use tata photon plus's service.
I look forward for some "LOGICAL AND FAIR" decision to be taken as soon as possible.

same problem and same plan i used 11600 mb i got below 4200rs what i have to do can any one suggest me
I Have the similar problem. I had signed up for a tata photon plus connection with a RP of 1500 for 15GB free usage for 2 months, thereafter will be charged Rs. 1500 + extra usage charges @ 50ps per MB (if applicable) + taxes. I took the connection on 15th Jan 2010 and got the welcome letter stating that my Billing Cycle would be 4th of each month to the 5th of the following month, with the bill being generated on the 7th. Yesterday and today i've got 2 calls from the Bill service call centre based out of Hyderabad telling me that my current outstanding is Rs. 3039 for the period of Jan 15th to Feb 04th 2010, and they demanded when i would be making the payment. I clarified to them that till i receive my bill and I get a confirmation form the customer service I will now make any payments.

So i called customer care today who gave me the details pertaining to my usage for the above period as Upload units - 1368 MB & Download Units as 13842 MB. These 2 put together total up to 15210MB which is equal to 14.86GB. Customer care had no proper info to provide as to why I was charged 3039. as per their plan i have utilized less than the allowed free usage and the 1st 2 months is free rental.
I bought a Tata Photon + on 31st July 2009 having number [protected] [protected] and account number[protected].

After using the photon I found that speed is very very low. I contacted customer support they gave me various settiing but couldnot increase the speed. The speed I was getting was in the range of 100 to 300 kbps. This was tested from the website provided by Tata support executive. The complaint was registered vide email on august 10 2009 vide docket number[protected].

Various executive visited my house, changed various setting in the computer but could not increase the speed. They checked with 2-3 computers at various locations in house and even used their own laptop to check but of no avail.

On complaining to nodal office on august 11 2009 he closed the call informing me that speed between 256 kbps to 600 kbps is Ok. and had no explanation why my Photon is working so slow.

On appealling to to Applleate Authority vide no.[protected] dated 14th October 2009 I am yet to receive any answer.

I hv stopped using the connection and is running around to get my refund from the comapny, for this expensive white elephant where the ad claims speed upto 3.1 MBPs but comapny says it is not possible.

Now they are only asking for the bill which they have generated without solving the problem. The 3 bills I have already paid without getting any service, they are silent about it. The complaint to Nodal Office and Apellate Authority is still pending.
I recently purchased Tata Photon +, i am not used tata photon, i am in 750Rs plan. But they have given the 2500Rs as my bill. As i went to them and asked what is this, they told your bill is that much only, if i won't they told me to send legal notice.

Actually i purchased the tata photon + of prepaid plan, after purchanging they told that you are on prepaid plan, i told customer care people to i told same thing to customer care people same thing.


BECARE FULL WHILE ANY ONE PURCHASING THE TATA PHOTON+, DON'T GO FOR IT.
I agree on wrong billing part as I have also faced same problem. Since we can not calculate upload/download data, Indicom takes advantage and gives incorrect bills.. If you have plan with 2GB limited data transfer, they will show 5-6 MB even if actual usage is less than 2GB.. just to extract more money from customers.. If you chose 5GB plan they will wrongly show 7-8MB usage and charge accordingly... and they will anyhow prove that they are correct and customers are wrong...
