Timesjobs — Improper information regarding resume & related services by TimesJobs.com

Address:East Delhi, Delhi

Dear Sir/Ma’am,
On 7th Sept, 2012 I got call from TimesJobs stating my resume was selected for the review so that I can get better job opportunity mails of both Indian and International companies. Since I had already left my job recently, so I thought it as a positive sign to get a new one. I talked to the HR executive about what I need to do and what are the benefits will I get. She said you have to pay certain amount and within 72 hours our Relationship manager will contact you. I thought brilliant and for further conversation she forwarded the call to Mr. Abhay (a Supervisor in Timesjobs office, Noida, Sec 15).
Now what Mr. Abhay did was a sheer cheating with a customer. He told me to come online on TimesJobs portal and I started following him thinking this might be the correct way. Then he gave me minimum information possible in first interaction on the name of Job Seek service in STEP AHEAD icon on timesjobs.com and told me to submit an amount of Rs 2750 via online (Order No CS1064431). I did it immediately thinking this is small amount so it’s good. Immediately after the payment was confirmed he told to make payment for Resume Zapper service of Rs 1600 (Order No CS1064468), I did as said via online. Now he took a U turn & said there is another category for Indian and MNC companies. Hence I paid Rs 2950 (Order No CS1064468) for MR India (Entry level) 1-3 and Rs 4700 (Order No CS1064451) for MR International (Entry level) 1-3. Again he said now next will be the last set of payments and no further payment will be required. I said are you sure no further payment is required, he said yes. Consequently I made a payment of Rs 4500 (Order No CS1064560) for Career Growth Report (3-year) that too lending from my roommate as my account had only Rs 2200. After payment confirmation he said the above process will not commence if 2012 Career and Finance report is not done. I argued with him a lot that you should inform each and every details right in the beginning so that I should have thought before availing such expensive services but he always repeated the same line this is necessary, this is last, I can’t process your action without this and many more useless dialogues. Before the payment I asked him again are you sure this is the last payment, he said yes so I made another payment of Rs 1850 (Order No CS1064564) for Report from my account.
And Sir I was totally exhausted both mentally and financially after the all above process. The time for the day was around 7.00 pm; hence he said he will call tomorrow, office time is over. The next day Saturday when I called (after waiting for his call) he said you need to scan your latest educational certificate and then we will talk.
Waiting for the call of Relationship Manager for two days I just received a copy of resume prepared by timesjobs, so I called Mr. Abhay on Wednesday (12th Sept, 2012). And adding salt to my wound was the next statement of Mr. Abhay that there is a last set of payment for your resume to be recognized by our Relationship Manager within 72 hours. The next set of verification attribute were Workplace compatibility, Ask any Question, SWOT analysis, Auspicious Dates, Job shift Planner, Employment verification and Education verification. I repeatedly told him I am not in a position to pay any further amount. He was repeating the same thing I cannot precede without this last step. I argued as per my ability that you should have informed me each and everything in details. But he said I cannot inform everything to you at a time. He always tried to give minimum information so that the payments could be made as per his wish. I made a payment of nearly Rs 17000 and again he was saying more is required.
I also told him that if the process cannot be proceeding without the other payment that means my order is half complete. In that case just cancel my order and return the money. He said no this is not the way; you have to complete the order steps. I again told him you should have informed me about each steps right from the beginning.
Sir/Ma’am this is so sad that customers are not informed properly about the product/services they are going to buy. After all it’s a matter of money, why should I pay for something I don’t want to avail. Clear cut information to the customers is quite necessary hence I demand an action against TimesJobs. This can happen to anybody so it’s better the companies realize the importance of transparency in information.
Sincerely
Vimlendu Kumar
