As they say,

IF IT SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE, it probably is!

Their homepage does not exist as they have written.

I assume all of you went through the same process.

1. Your CV has been shortlisted, please fill out the online interview.

2. You receive an offer and a contract.

To this point no one have ever spoken to you or tried to call you on your phone.
Would you belive that any company would do this through a hiring process?

Check on their homepage www.total.com and you can see how their recruitment process looks like.
I have sent an email to the recruitment department in Spain though it was "Total Spain" that wanted to hire me. Also, I was going to be a project manager situated in Madrid??!! Do they have an oil well there? I belive not..

Any how, I have reported it to them now and hope I will get some response from them

/David

MR.MIKE . [protected]@live.com.

ATTENTION! If and employer will ask for money it is a scam! ATTENTION!!!

Why ask for money when you will work for him and they will pay you so much mor than the initial cost even the first month!!

See below the respons I got from reporting the emails I got from the "FAKE TOTAL"

Kind Regards
David

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your email of_14.10.2009 which is unfortunately in line with others already received. We are aware that recruitment organisations are approaching applicants and requesting payment in exchange for purportedly processing their application for a job at Total.
First be informed that Total, its subsidiaries and the organisations that it entrusts with its recruitment requirements do not and will not ask for money from applicants under any circumstance and at any point in the selection and recruitment process. Besides a warning is clearly displayed on our recruitment website.
Therefore and as far as we can judge, the offer that you have received is obviously a fake.
We are naturally acting on the legal side in order to stop such fake proposals.
If you are interested in working for Total anywhere in the world, we invite you to visit directly our dedicated website (www.careers.total.com).

Thank you again for having contacting us.

Kind Regards,

Total

(Guys pls compare this, mail me [protected]@yahoo.com.ph)
Hi All

I have got the same offer 2 days ago, and i will tell you all the truth :
these kinds of mail is fraud and a game and i got the proof for that which will convince each one of you ...

I'm Network engineer and i will explain here what i did :
each mail will be sent over the internet has source and destination, the destination simply is your inbox (other words; the server of your country which the msg reaches before getting in your inbox and with that you got an IP address **Internet Protocol** which will be provided to you by the ISP of your country and each country has its one range of IPs, with that you can know via the IP, from which country this mail was sent .. here we can say, the sender he has also an IP address which was addressed on the server of his country )

Now the offer i got, supposed to be sent from spain which pretend that he is the employer of the Total Petroluem Company in Spain
the email of the sender was : [protected]@informaticos.com, which makes us think that somehow it's a domain of a site in Spain ...

continuing to that I got the IP address of that sender mail which was 209.85.219.220 (can be obtained from the mail itself)
and i traced this IP and guess from where that mail was sent :
IT WAS SENT FROM UNITED STATE specificly here down the exact address
Country United States
State/Region : Redondo Beach
Area Code 310

with that i ensure the msg wasn't sent from Spain, , , and which company in the world will employ its trusted employees in that way...

I hope that was somehow a way to clarify the truth and how those stupid people try to fraud over the net with all these technologies we have over the world, they could be smart somehow but for each action there is reaction...

Now I advice each one to not respond to that mails and mark it as unsafe mails
or do as i will do, , CONTINUE the game with them so you give them fake self confidence, then [censored] them by telling them the truth about their lie or someway you would be a player in it ;)

Dont loose you current life or job because of such a stupid people...
I dont want to write more stories here.Since all the issues are written by my friends.Just want to know is it true or not.

Regards,
Ismath

Please find out for me and your reply is most wanted.
I am surprised at the number of people who have repeatedly raised the issue.

Isn't it obvious to you folks? How in the world can you believe in something like this?

If you ever get a job offer sent from a free email service address, you should immediately consider it a fraud/scam!

I am sorry that nasty individuals out there send stupid emails like this to fool people.
This is 100% Fraud.
200% Fake. Don't see like this ...
