[Resolved]  Trackon Courier Services — Late Delivery of Courier

This happened with me for the 2nd time with the same company and the parcel was also sent to the same address. I booked a courier on 11th of June 2011 from Rishikesh and I was told that it will be delivered at the Lucknow address on Monday i.e 13th of June. I checked the online status and it was showing in Mahanagar office Lucknow on 13th. So I waited for a few days. However when it was not delivered till 15th evening(till 7 P.M) I contacted the local agent. He tried to help me but in vain. He had to repeatedly call the Agra and Lucknow office to get the status but even till night the picture was not clear.
On 16th morning I tried calling the Mahanagar office at Lucknow but the mobile no. provided in the site was being diverted to some other no. that was not working and the landline no. was continuously busy. Finally the courier was delivered at around 4:00 P.M on 16th of June 2011, that too after repeated call from the agent at Rishikesh. The parcel had my important business documents and had it been more late it could have led to a monetary loss for me, for which I am sure Trackon would not have taken the responsibility. The company does not have a centralised customer care system or escalation and we have to depend on the agents to get the exact status, whose no. don't even work.
Since this has happened with me for the second time I am not going to use this courier service again and will recommend others to go for some other company which might cost them a bit more. At least they will be saved with this much of problem or probable loss that may happen due to late deliveries of parcel.
