Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation — REGARDING SCHEDULE OF BUSES

Address:Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh

Sir,

I work in a private company at Faridabad so have to tarvel daily from Modinagar to Ghaziabad by bus and from there by train to reach Faridabad at 9.00 AM. For this I have to catch the bus form Modinagar at atleast 05:30 AM to reach before 06:15 AM at Ghaziabad so that I can catch the train for Faridabad. Like me there are lot of people who work in various company in Noida, Sikandrabad, Dadri etc. they also catch the eairly morning bus from Modinagar to reach their last destination. As you know that the buses which operate on Meerut - Ghaziabad are hired by UPSRTC. The bus which we want at 05:30 AM at Modinagar Bus stand arrived 15 to 30 minute late everyday, due to this I do not reach Ghaziabad before 06.15 AM and miss my train 4 days in a week and hence become late to reach the office. On one day 3 to 4 buses arrive around 06:45 AM in a row but on other day there is no bus available between 05:30 AM to 06:00 AM. Like me hundreds of people, travel daily from Modinagar to Ghaziabad, are facing this problem. Similar problem occurs in the evening at Ghaziabad after 08:00 PM. There present hundreds of people who want to go back their home in the evening at Ghaziabad bus stand. But there are few buses are available at the spot which are not sufficent. So the people have to wait for the bus from 1 to 2 hours daily in the evening. Most of the buses travel carrying few passengers between 11:00 AM to 05:00 PM but in the morning (between 05:30 AM to 7:30 AM) and evening few buses are available.

So, what I want to say to the concerned authority in the above story is that there is no proper controlling of schedule of the buses at Meerut - Ghaziabad route. The buses do not start timely from their starting point and hence, do not reach timely at their last destination. There should be buses in the eairly morning between 05:00 AM to 05:30 AM at Modi Nagar and frequeny of the buses should be increased in the morning & evening when there is too much rush at the bus stops.

Moreover, the conductor keeps on boarding the passengers in the evening time as they are their commodities. Stoping of bus more than frequently decreases its speed also. The behaviour of both bus drive and conductor with passengers is very bad. They do not stop the bus at the right spot of the bus stop; use such an abusive language with the passengers.

This attitude of private drivers and conductors has become a routine. I request the government to take corrective action opposed to them as early as possible before they could rule the roadways.
