[Resolved]  Western Railway Local Trains — announcements regarding local trains

Of late, we are facing a lot of hardship with respect to announcements made at Mahim Railway Station, specifically during morning hours. I have even complained to the Station Master in the past about lack of announcements or wrong announcements being made.

There have been several instances when an announcement has been made for a 9 coach train coming in and instead a 12 coach train will enter the platform. Ladies like me who travel by First Class have to keep running up and down because our compartment comes at different places on a 9 coach and on a 12 coach train. Unfortunately, even the Second Class Ladies compartment is not there at that spot for us to get into on the 12 Coach trains and several ladies board the Luggage compartment instead. At times, one has to even miss the train and thus get delayed to reach our work destination.

Even this morning, the Ladies Special whose scheduled time at Mahim is 0850 hrs. was showing on the Indicator as a 12 coach. Thereafter, as the train was approching Mahim station, an announcement was made to the effect that the ladies special would be a 9 coach train instead and we had to run back, and after the train entered the platform, it was again announced as a 12 coach. Surely you will appreciate the hardship caused to us.

Several ladies would agree with me on this complaint. May we suggest that you move the Ladies First Class Coach towards the centre of the train, so that it comes at one place only and this running up and down is eliminated. Hope some heed will be paid to our complaint. Awaiting your response. Thank You. Y. Kapadia

Western railway local First class Compartment FANS of MAX company are absolutely useless as the force of air is very little and does not reach the person sitting on the seat.The fans are ISO Certified(Safe ) but ineffective. They need to be replaced or modified for serving their purpoise.

I would like to know which is the actual dress code of the Ticket Master .I saw two type of Ticket Master they are wearing to two type of dress one of White shirt & White Pant the other is of White Shirt and Black pant. Their is always announcements on the railway station that you must not show your ticket to authorised person who is not wearing dress code but they are mentioning what is the dress code colour of the authorised person. I request you to please reply my email and just tell you authorised person who announce to please mention the colour code.

Dear Sir/Madam
I am from Mira road, This is regarding the Hawker menace on the bridge of Mira Road. They scream so loudly creating noise pollution to sell their product and least bothered about the difficulties which the commuters are facing while passing from the bridge. Earlier also I had sent an email to stop flourishing of Hawkers on the bridge. After sending the email few days they disappear, and are removed by the railway authority, then again they start multiplying. Its so disgusting and shameful that for the sake of “HAFTA” these hawkers are flourished by the railways. These Hawkers are encouraged to encroach the official govt. place meant for public, just for the sake of some money.
This is the last email I am sending and if the hawkers are not removed then I shall approach the Media and other higher authorities.
You are requested to take immediate action and stop them from flourishing,
