Corporation Bank — Rude Behavior from Bank staff and Manager

Dear Sir / Madam,

This complaint regarding rude behavior from the staff (Ms. Shweta) and Manager (Mr. Dayal) at Agra main branch.

This is the second time when my father(Mr.Mahendra Nath Gupta) have visited Corporation Bank (Belanganj, Agra branch) for printing the transactions entries on passbook. It is required for them to maintain the required amount monthly as multiple accounts and RDs are opened in the same bank (with my and mothers name).

They denied to do the same saying that the staff is not available to do it. It was 11:30 AM (not the lunch or Tea break time). Asking after 10-15 mins again they have given another reason saying their software updates are running and they cannot do it. On asking again and again that when it can be done, they said we don’t know and we are busy don’t waste our time. Is that the way to speak to a senior citizen or your customer? My father staying too far from that bank and difficult to visit the bank on daily basis just for the small work (that to bank is on first floor, and it will be difficult to go via stairs daily). I don’t know if you /Bank will able to understand this. They have treated my father with the rude behavior and was very harsh with him.

I called them from Hyderabad on[protected] and ask for the reason that why they are not able to do entries on passbook? And Manager (Mr.Dayal) gave me three different reason – Software Update is running, Staff is not available and Staff is busy with other works. His one of the staff person (Ms. Shweta) mentioned that she cannot do it as billing is not done for her to do that work. Later manager asked me to call my father and come back to the bank, so that he will do it now. Not sure how staff was suddenly available and how billing was done for Shweta and how that software updating was completed just with my call.

Even on the call, Manager was talking about my father with so much disrespect (woh chala gya, usko bolo aane kliye).
After all this incident for sure I will be closing my/mother’s accounts/RDs for sure with this bank. Don’t want to continue services with your bank.

But I have few queries here –
1. Why staff was not available on seat at 11:30 AM (working hours)?

2. Billing for that work is done for your staff or not, is that really matter for the customer?

3. How much time will be taken for Software updates? My father visited twice in a week and last time also same reason was given.

4. As a customer, should I expect this type of behavior from Staff as well as Manager? For this rude behavior if Manager is talking like that I think, I should expect same with Staff as well.

5. Why everybody was scared to tell their name, even over call, I ask their name multiple times then only they have said. It was very very very rude behavior by staff/manager.

This account was my first bank saving account and wanted to continue with same but with all these incident for sure I will be discontinue everything from this bank.
