Country Club India — witnessing many unreliable, non-stable & false promises made by country club / country vacation

Dear sir/madam,

I took country vacation / country club membership on 05/01/2019 for 10 years holidays vacations + clubbing for 30 years for my family (4 members) from kolkata.

I haven’t used any of the country club services till date since i became the member nor i’m interested in using it anymore because of witnessing many unreliable, non-stable & false promises made by them and moreover i feel that it is not useful to me.

I have not availed any of their services so far but yet they keep me calling & asking to pay amc for next 10 years apart from membership payment (Already paid 1.85l including amc) although i was assured there won't be any extra charges in the name of amc later on.

I have already received 2 different emails from the same company with 2 different offers/facilities for paying next 10 years of amc, so again witnessing unreliable & false promises.

On this event, i googled & found plenty of negative reviews about their services of country vacation / country club.

I would request you kindly cancel my membership and initiate the refund process asap.

Sub: Complaint regarding not cancelling the membership & refunding the paid amount due to fake promises.(Country Club / Country Vacation)

Respected Sir/Madam,
On January 5, 2019 we took a membership from Country Club Hospitality & Holidays Ltd (also known as Country Club India, Country Vacation etc.) for 10 years of Holidays Vacation(6N 7D yearly) & Clubbing for 30 years for my family (4 Members) in Kolkata for Rs. 1.85 Lacs.

The salesperson at that time made many fake promises & even lied to us almost for everything. Few of them are.

1. We were told that this amount i.e 1.85 Lacs includes everything(One time membership fee + AMC for 30 years + Free pick up & drop facility + Free guide for site visiting + complimentary breakfast)
2. We can book any Resort/Hotel anywhere in India & Abroad at anytime in a year.
3. We can take foods/meals from outside as per our convenient restaurant.

4. There won’t be any other/extra charges in the name of AMC or Service charges for next 30 years.

5. We were not even allowed to read the agreement before making the payment as we were also convinced that everything is written in the agreement as it is whatever he has just explained to us so we believed him & made the payment.

The salesperson also expressed that the written rules & regulations are merely for formalities, in reality we don’t follow this, we are quite customer friendly. So don’t worry at all about this. Finally we left & after few days we received the payment receipts & membership cards.

So 2 months past since we got the membership, from 3rd month onwards they have started calling us many times in a day for clearing the payment for AMC, initially I took it casually but after few days I started discussing with them more clearly on it & told them we already paid for it at the time of membership but they denied it & told us we will have to pay the AMC before booking any rooms/hotels for Holiday vacation every year nearly paying Rs. 12, 000.

While enquiring with Customer Care they confirmed that we will have to pay additional Rs. 2, 000 to 3, 000 as service charges every year for availing the rooms/hotels.

We were also told that we need to plan 3 to 4 months prior to Rooms/Hotels booking for Vacation every year. Moreover we all will have to compulsorily take all 3 times meals (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) from the same Hotel & need to make payment for pickup & drop as well.

So we felt that all in all it will be a very expensive affair if we go for any vacation through them.

Few days back we have received 2 different emails from Country Vacation/Club providing 2 different offers/facilities for paying next 10 years of AMC at one-shot(Special offer), so again witnessing unreliable & false promises from them. As it feels like we have been cheated.

On this event, I googled about Country Club / Country Vacation, found plenty of negative reviews about them and also many fraud cases have been filed against them in Consumer Complaints forum.

To let you know, we have already raised a Transaction Dispute on Country Vacation/Club with our Bank.

I look forward to your reply and a resolution to my problem and will wait until your reply before seeking help from a consumer protection agency or the Better Business Bureau if required.
