I received a call on 16 Nov 2012 from a person speaking on behalf of HDFC bank. He had all the details like my card no, age, residential address, date of birth and other personal information. He told me about an offer and gift vouchers which I would be getting free of cost as a part of HDFC bank esteemed customer. He told me that I'd get a super saver card on which I can avail 25% discount on purchases and other attractive offers, later they connected me to an IVR system where I provided other details of the card. Later I came to know that Rs. 6399/- has been debited from my HDFC credit card at IVRSHIFTTHOUGHTS CONSU, NEW DELHI. They also told me to send a welcome kit within 15 days. I immediately contacted HDFC credit card support (toll-free no) to cancel this transaction but they told me to contact the merchant for that. After that I asked the merchant that I am not interested and to reverse the charges but they denied doing so. This is really a very serious issue; somebody is playing with brand name of HDC Bank. Plz do the needful and cancel this transaction if possible.
