[Resolved]  Delight Telecom, BTM 2nd Stage — Sold duplicate battery claiming it to be original one

Address:Bangalore, Karnataka

In early November, I had gone to the shop - Delight Telecom asking for HTC Desire V original battery. The shop guy gave me a battery in loose packing. On suspicion, I showed it to the authorized HTC center in Bangalore and their technician confirmed that the battery was duplicate. I paid Rs 1700 to Delight Telecom for an original battery and they gave me a duplicate battery which actually costs around Rs. 500 (as found online as well as by asking other shop-keepers). When I complained to the shop owner, he maintained that the battery was original and refused to give me my money back. There is another similar complaint on this forum.

Complaint marked as Resolved
I had called National Consumer Helpline to complain against Delight Telecom and they told me that i should write a complaint letter to the shop guy. As soon as the letter reached him, the owner called me and asked to resolve the problem. I went to his shop and after some negotiation, he took his battery and gave me my money back. I am now quite happy with the complaint resolution.
