Subject: Complaint to register an online job consultancy scam.
FIR 0319/2002 exists for this complaint.

Respected Sir,
I am Manjesh Michael (the complainant), an IT Professional residing at Bengaluru,
Mahadevapura. Last month, I registered my profile with some authorized job portals like Naukri and
Monster, as I was searching for a new job. On 30-April-2022 Saturday, I got a call from the mobile no:
91-[protected] introducing as Mr. Krunal Kapoor calling from Dice India consulting/placement firm
(the accused) partnered with top IT firms in India & abroad. He talked very professionally, with clear
understanding of my profile, domains, experience and he listed 3 selected IT firms (Deloitte, Honeywell,
and Capgemini) & open vacancies. Later he mentioned about Amazon & Microsoft during another
telephonic conversation.
Krunal insisted me to access their website (https://diceind.com/) and complete the registration process
by paying “Communal Intensifier” fee INR 5250/-. The call was then transferred to the Relationship
Executive Anushree (Mobile: 91-[protected]) & Relationship Manager Linto Jacob to complete
payments for the “Live Interview Program” (INR 17999/-) & “Portfolio Management”
(INR 37912/-). Later they involved, General manager Prateek Kapoor (Mobile: 91-[protected]) for
“Professional Advisor Service” (INR 45999/-), as I was reluctant to do further payment. They claimed
that the service expenses will be reimbursed 100% within 48 hours, after joining the new Organization.
As per their advice, I sent soft copies (Copy protected PDFs) of my Resume, last 3 months Payslip,
Service Letter, ID Proof etc. On 07-May-2022, they called me and insisted me to pay fees INR 68972/- for
“Jobs India - Final Service Payment” to line up some interviews and progress the placement service.
After long calls & debates with them, I denied to do further payment and decided to back out from the
service and demanded the refund. They started talking in unprofessional way and forced me to pay INR
30004/- (28% Tax) consultation fee INR 15999/- for invoice, reimbursement letter and to process the
refund. Their finance executive Mr. Ashok Sharma (Mobile: 91-[protected]) had a talk with me and
stated that the refund can’t be done, without clearing the dues; final payment tax + consultation fee of
INR 46004/-. Payment link: https://pmny.in/gIDng3kRhoKw
Hence, I was forced to pay it, hoping that I would get my hard earned money (INR 153164/-) back within
5 working days (within 13th-May, Friday) as per their agreement.
I had tried to contact them multiple times to get the refund status update; however, neither mail reply
nor proper verbal updates from them. On 12th-May Thursday, Mr. Ashok updated me to pay TCS & TDS,
which is 22794/-. Payment link: https://pmny.in/OIfnt4Vmiex7
I really got frustrated and demanded the refund very strongly. On 14th-May Saturday, I had long calls
with Mr. Krunal (Executive) & Mr. Rashid Anwar (Finance Team) and they started verbal debates with
me and forced me to either pay TCS & TDS or forget the refund.
I am still waiting for their official & authentic reply on mail, about the refund status of INR 153164/-.
Dice India Persons contacted me over call / mail:

With the below investigations, I concluded that DiceInd is not a genuine consulting firm.
1) DiceInd Bangalore office address @ Wilson Garden is not legitimate; it belongs to a party shop,
selling stationary and decorations items.
2) When I kept Dice US team (Cc) in a mail, they replied me notifying that DiceInd is fraudulent and
Dice US doesn’t have a “sister” firm in India.
3) Invoice GST No.07AAIPM0906H1ZW belongs to a furniture trading shop/agency in Delhi.
Noticed a few consumer complaints on career-dice as per the URLs:
https://www.consumercomplaints.in/career-dice-com-careerdiceindia-com-fake-job-p...
https://www.consumercomplaints.in/bycompany/career-dice-com-careerdiceindia-com-...
4) Demand for huge payments at different phases and they are not ready to issue the invoice instantly.
5) Unprofessional way of talking and threatening about refund call off while questioning them back.
6) List of invalid employers (fraudulent contact & e-mail details) in their website www.diceind.com.
Requesting to kindly register a complaint to investigate and take necessary actions to stop such scams in
future and get my refund.
Thank You
Yours sincerely,
