I am filing this complaint against DropTaxi for gross negligence, false records, and unethical practices that caused financial loss, mental stress, and complete inconvenience to my family.

🚩 Incident:

On 3rd August, I booked a taxi from Chennai to Trichy through DropTaxi.

During heavy rain, the driver tied our luggage on the roof of the car without covering it.

I explicitly requested him to cover the bags, but he arrogantly dismissed my concern, saying “nothing will happen.”

After the journey, I found both suitcases completely drenched, with several valuable items damaged.

🚩 Customer Support Failure:

Instead of taking responsibility, DropTaxi’s support team acted in an irresponsible and unethical manner:

They falsely updated their internal call logs stating I had spoken to the driver and said the issue was “okay.” This is completely false and fabricated.

One support agent bluntly told me: “It’s your choice, I can say nothing about it” when I said I would escalate.

Another casually told me to “call tomorrow” even after multiple follow-ups.

Even after escalation, no one from their admin team took accountability.

Is this how a registered company treats its customers? This is not customer support — it is a clear cover-up.

🚩 Unfair Luggage Charges:

The driver also illegally collected ₹300 as luggage charges, despite DropTaxi’s own terms stating that charges apply only above 70 kg.
Our luggage was well below this weight. This is misrepresentation and overcharging.

🚩 My Actions So Far:

I have filed a case with the National Consumer Helpline (Complaint No. 7639017). The complaint has been officially forwarded to DropTaxi.

I have shared photographic evidence of the soaked suitcases, pooled water inside the bags, and damaged items.

🚩 My Demands:

Full refund of the unjust ₹300 luggage charge.

Compensation for the damaged luggage and belongings (proof already provided).

Additional compensation for the harassment, stress, and time wasted due to negligence and false records.

Formal written apology from DropTaxi for their misconduct.

Disciplinary action against the driver and irresponsible support staff.
