[Resolved]  Ameex Technologies — No leaves and more working hours

Hi Friends,

I worked for Ameex Technologies, Chennai. When I was working there was no leave. Even if you take one day leave, it is always loss of pay. In all the meetings they says that the company is growing and we need to work extra time. But even after we grew, they will keep saying the company is growing and we need to work extra time. In all the meetings he will keep telling that the next three months is very crucial. After three months also he will tell the same, next three months is very crucial. So everyone has to work on sundays and during night time also. we need to work on holidays also when all other offices are on leave. it will be government holiday. For some time they had two ofices. One was very far near sathyabama college. First they were given cab because employees have to travel a long distance. Slowly it was cancelled and everyone was asked to go by government bus. even during night times girls have to go only by bus. For everytime he will give example of mu sigma one of his fiends company he will not talk about ameex growth or accept that we have grown and appreciate the employees. Everytime it will be like complaining we are not from good school, in US they are working well, communication is not good. Motorolla working will be very tough, here it is good.

Company is very bad in hr policies and employee treatment. Guys used to be fired every 6 months or 3 months also. Everyone use to be scared when the next person is going to be fired. I heard once they were showing a video of how people will be fired from their job in US, so company can also do like this. I dont know why company should only show videos of firing employees. Guys will be scared a lot and no one will question fearing they will loose the job. There is no encouragement or motivation. Always it is only scaring and making everyone do more work. Few team leaders try to be close to the team and encourage them. But not all team leaders because management is not worried about all that.

The toilet use to be on the parking space for boys, before that boys and girls were asked to use the same toilet also. No soap, no toilet paper. some times no water also. Toilets use to stink.

Hi All, Ameex Technologies Pvt. Ltd is a 180 member company located in the IT corridor of Chennai. We are currently located at 284/1A , Kanthanchavadi , Chennai with state of the art facilities . We have been located here since Jan 2012. We take this as a mode to address the issues raised as complaints. Facility: We at Ameex don’t miss a chance to celebrate. We are a secular group and every occasion is celebrated in its own style. . For eg. Diwali 2013 was celebrated as Ethinic day, were all employees picked their traditions from wardrobe followed by ethnic games. Ameex also have a charity club were voluntarily employees spend a day out of their routine with the special kids, orphanage etc. In addition we have Birthday celebrations every month and resort outings twice a year packed with team building activities. Like many other companies we encourage team lunch at various restaurants in the city. We also provide subsidized lunch and dinner in our cafeteria and Cab facility for employees. Coming to Infrastructure the space issues are resolved from Jan 2013 and we have expanded to two floors in the same campus and it indeed resolved the toilet issues as we have separate Gents and ladies toilet at each floor. We had AC issues as there was extreme power scarcity in the city. The issue related to Gents and Ladies sharing a toilet discussed in the complaints was when we were 10 employees about 4 yrs back. Now we are 180 team members and it is no longer relevant. HR Policies : We follow strong HR policies and recruitment methodology. In addition to the company holidays, the employees are entitled to take 15 days vacation per year. This is clearly indicated in the Offer Letters. Maternity leave/ Paternity leave is all a part of our leave policy. In 2013, we have campus recruited candidates from IIT-Madras, IIM, BIM, CEG (Anna Univ), PSG and CIT along with other colleges. For example, we have recruited the Fifth Batch of MCA from Madras Christian College. If there were HR issues, we could not go back to the campus for Fifth year in a row. •All Mid-level to Senior level employees work only 5 days a week. As juniors have more learning involved they come in for 1/2 day on Saturday excluding second Saturdays. •Employees are provided Onsite opportunities based on the client requirements. Many employees have travelled to US, Singapore over the last couple of years. •We have a very transparent system; there is also a Feedback box at office, where employees have the freedom to share their genuine feedback anonymously and the concerns will be addressed as they come up. •As a result of all these over the last 4 years the employee attrition has been less than 1%, which is unheard in the industry. CES — To knowing the hours

Dear Board,

I purchased a Reliance Data Cable in the month of September. The hardware cost for the Data Card was Rs. 3000/. The scheme promised, was Rs. 300 monthly under swift30, with first three months rental free. I got bill in the first month. But, my vedor is not responding. Anyhow, I want to know how many hours I used and how many hours balance in every month. Is there any chance to know, Please sen me to my given email-id.

One advice. If you are a girl, tell you are getting married. They will give experience letter and also the certificates. All the best.
I heard about this comlaint in office. Thought I will also add some. I am also working for Ameex Technologies Pvt Ltd in Chennai. I joint only some time back. There are lot of things that are bad with this office. They do lot of cost cutting. AC will not be on, evenings there will be lot of mosquitoes inside office. It is true, toilet stinks in our office. Most days I will not even wish to go inside toilet due to the bad smell. There will be girls seated right in front of the boys toilet door and guys in front of girls toilet door. When we use the conference room, we have to give the ac remote to the hr. lift will be off. for office cab we have one maruthi alto. I think this is the only office where the weekend allowance is Rs. 50. That is for working full day on Sunday. Appraisal is also bad in this company. They have sent my appraisal to my team lead and they have sent my team lead appraisal to me. My team lead sit next to me and is asking me to rate him good, otherwise he will rate me bad. For this they need not sent the team lead appraisal to us. I am afraid what he will rate me if i rate him less. To cut ac usage, there will be fan in our places. Already we are sitting soo close to each other. We cannot even move when we are sitting, the next person will be sitting in my back. Even for me to get up, I need to ask that person to move. But more than this there will be fans. Fans will fall and someone has to take it everytime. In IT industry, this is the first office that does not put ac. Everyone think it will be full ac in IT companies. Food will be bad. We need to pay Rs. 15 for lunch. Work from home is also a very bad policy in this company. Even if we work full day from home, it will be half a day leave. If we work only half day from home also it is half a day leave. This policy is good for someone who want to time pass and work from home. But f you are sincerely working from home, it is bad. Many times my team has struggled and completed projects, but there will be no appretiation. They take for lunch rarely, that also only some team, not everyone. It is very bad. There is no motivation, there is no fun activity, no outing, nothing happy. 24hours you have to work, week ends also you have to work. Leave policy is bad. Everyone can have only 12 day leaves for one year. Oherwise loss of pay. I did not know about this policy, otherwise I would not have joint this company at all. One senior fellow joint and left in just one day. Lot of people leave like this they say. I even asked my friend to join somewhere else. I am still ok with this company, because they are paying more than my previous company, but the company is bad.
I agree with some and not agree with some complaints.I been at ameex for 2 yrs. I agree with issues related to toilets in parking lot and smelly when we were in old Nandanam office 2 years back. The other old office near satyabama was far away and was tough to go. Now, both the offices are made into one office in a nice building on OMR road near Tidel Park. I am seeing ameex growth in last few yrs and proud to be responsible for that. Some complaints are not right. Seems to be written by freshers. Main national holidays and some usa holidays are declared as leave (about 12 days/yr). Additional 15 days leave for a yr, even for freshers. Many times we not take leave, ask for money they say no. We can carry over max 5 days to next yr, and asked to take compulsory leave to take rest. Leave encouraged in nov and dec, not in jan and feb due to projects. Billable time very important, if worked 120 hrs, or more then incentive given. If not on billable project asked to leave by 8 at night and no cab. I know performance evalution, it is good. All team leads decide together no one person. Competetion is high in first year. If performance not good in 1st year, you go that too with 3 months salary. After first yr no go only stay. I know other Mncs they take cash bond and certificates from students for 2 yrs, here no cash bond. certificates also returned back after sometime. No people leaving even after 2 yrs. Salary increase so much in last 3 yrs, minimum salary now above many mnc companies. No one resigns. Only for personal reasons like marriage, they leave. Grown from 20 people 3 yrs back to 150 people now, growing more and more.Good for all o[censored]s.
