FRRO — help desk response

▪ i have attempted to apply for a visa extension through the efrro website without success. While i was successful in registering with on the efrro site, the site does not allow me to select a visa type or sub-type.

▪ i have contacted the frro in bangaluru a number of times and - despite explanations - have repeatedly been referred to the e-frro website.

▪ i have followed directions given to me by official representatives of the ministry of tourism and the frro help desk, however a staff member of frro-blr has taken this tone:

"there is no human intervention possible at this juncture.. Plse keep trying and apply online as mentioned earlier.. We are receiving similar kind applications everyday in efrro.
And
It is helpdesk.. Trying to help you through emails.. Designation and signature are not important.."

This reply does nothing to reassure a foreigner that representatives of a local authority are invested or engaged in their job.
