[Resolved]  S H Mumtazuddin Times Pvt Ltd — furniture wear & tear within 3 months from date of purchase

i had purchased a sofa set, dining table with chair and centre table worth Rs 69200/- from the showroom located at 171/A and B lenin sarani, kolkata - 13, on dated 18/08/12. i had bought it on 18/8/12 but shifted and started using it from 25th dec 12 and then only i shifted to my new flat located at 61 ripon street, kalim dream, 3rd floor,# 3D, kolkata-16. To my surprise the double seated sofa started tearing off , i.e the PVC started peeling from. My wife went and complained to them and then the sales person stated to her that she had warned me from buying as it is not for residential purpose. I work at Mahoba,UP, and when i turned to kolkata I went and requested her for changing it or repairing it. She flatly refused saying that they do not give any type of warranty on their items which is not mentioned on their invoice.. I am shocked how they can say such absurd thinngs for the item worth Rs 36000/- approx excluding vat. Therefore i thought of going through you'll for helping me in solving my problem. Kindly advise me what to do.
