Godrej Interio — Godrej interio defective / poor quality Atlanta dining chairs. No proper response.

Dear Sir,

It is very pathetic to write this complaint and now my view has been changed about the brand of Godrej. I will not suggest any one to purchase. As it is using third quality materials and making us fool with charging very high amount and not giving proper response after sale.

I want to mention here that I had purchased Atlanta dining table with 6 chairs on 29/12/2019 and get it installed in Jan 2020. Within a few months o[censored]se, the chairs started sound and after sometime one of the chair was broke during corona first wave. I registered a complaint for this but customer care / executive shows their ignorance to replace the chair. I said that all the chairs are very poor quality and very delicate to hold a heavy person. It may break. But the executive was not agreed to replace the same. After continuous follow up and many calls they agreed to replace one broken chair. Since, the quality was very poor and not able to hold a person even of 75-80 kg. I requested to replace all the chairs. But they denied. Now, the position is that again one of the chair has broken and remaining 5 are also in very bad condition and not for further use. All is very prone to break down. They are sounding very much and their parts are of very poor quality to withstand the weight and stop sound. Not feeling comfortable to sit. It makes me uncomfortable during dinner time. My money goes wasted due to such fraud company who makes faulty products and charge very higher amount than market for its quality and comfort.

I registered a complaint on 04.05.2022 and for inspection they are asking for Rs.400/- without any service and they are asking us to pay Rs.6000/- for the service. Since, their products are so bad why can I pay money for such defective products within very short span of time and I had already complaint regarding the same previously during first complaint. The company is making us fool and charging for their faulty products.

1. Why should I go for a brand and purchase such a expensive dining table with chairs which is in poor condition after use of just 1-2 years?

2. Is it life of a branded furniture with life of approx 70000/-?

3. Is it good to forbid my father and other members to sit on them that it would be break.

4. What is the fun to purchase such furniture. Company is making us fool.

Really pathetic, I have also complaint to executive Mr. Shashank Shukla on 11.05.2022 who also not responded properly even after 10 days of complaint.

Kindly exchange all the defective products (6 chairs) as it is not the fault of customer who has paid the whole amount price as demanded by the company.

I have received you mail dated.26.05.2022, in which you have mentioned that the product is out of warranty and no manufacturing defect observed in the product.



a) Sir, I just want to know that what is the basis of your observation that the said product has not manufacturing defect? Reasons for low durability of the product?



b) As I had already mentioned in the previous mail dated.20.05.2022 after so many telephonic communications regarding the same on different dates with Mr. Shashank Shukla that the quality of these chairs is very poor and having manufacturing defect since I had purchased as one of the chairs was broken during the use of first year and which was already replaced by the company.

I had already reported for the same during the first year o[censored]se that all the chairs are not good in quality. But the company has not accepted the same. Reasons for the same. Mr. Shukla has also not responded properly to resolve the issue.



c) It appears that the company has outsourced the manufacturing of Atlanta chairs and purchased poor quality chairs at low price and selling it on higher price with their brand name. Otherwise, issues will not occur in the quality products.



d) Further, I want to know that whether the quality of the branded Godrej chairs has very short span of life of only 1-2 year and after that it requires repair. Because you have used very low-quality material it is damaged, and some needs repair. Even local market furniture does not require repair after 1-2 year. Kindly clarify the reasons.



e) You are making us fool and took / charged very high amount for the selling of Atlanta dining table with chairs and now again charging higher amount for your manufacturing defect in these chairs. Kindly give reasons for why I should go for the brand Godrej Interio and purchase furniture where there is no surety of the quality of the furniture that it is durable.



Considering the above empathetically and kindly replace all the chairs as it is not in working / usable condition. It will break if we use it.
