Sir Greetings! I live in Indore, MP. I write to you with regard to a common issue that is being faced by me and the people staying in my building. We think that there is a fault in our meters as even without much usage, the electricity bill of the month has crossed 1000 rupees and 3 people have received a bill exceeding Rs. 2000, which is without a doubt not the real usage. The strangest thing is that out of 10 homes in our building, there are 6 people getting 1000+ bill amount, 3 people getting 2000 Rs. bill amount and one person getting only Rs. 101/-. There is surely something wrong with the metering system. Last month, my bill was Rs. 786 but this month it is Rs. 2000 and despite the fact that our house was locked for about 10 days. I request you to kindly treat this matter as urgent and register our complaint and get someone check our meters for any faults. Kindly suggest what further action should we take.
